I only saw the one replay on TV but I didn't think he actually hit Gregoire in the head. Could be wrong, though.

Yea, but he should know that by now. His slash penalty last night at the end of the game was pointless, and this penalty tonight wasn't necessary either. The Irish player had clearly gotten rid of the puck and the hit on him wasn't necessary.

Malone seriously needs to control himself. He's taken some absolutely stupid penalties this year. Some of them weren't his fault, but plenty have just been careless.
I think the refs keep a closer eye on him too

I think after their performance last night Notre Dame is going to come out swinging and try to take control of the game right from the get go. Hopefully The sioux will be in fighting form and not allow them to score.
