The 300 viewer limit was chosen as the number of free views we were going to give out for the two demos. After the 300 free views are given out, the game will sell for $8.95, similar to the rest. The number of viewers that are able to get online at one time and view a game simultaneously is much greater than 300. We plan to see how many people have signed up for a certain game before hand and adjust our bandwidth accordingly. This will allow us to up the viewer capacity for games like Minnesota. The reason why the demo on Dataflix is not internet streamed is because we have never done internet streaming of UND Athletics before so we obviously don't have that available to us. The reason why the demo is of less quality than the live stream will be is because the live feed is shot directly from REA (or the other venues) to our internet company and they put it on the web for us. The demo is dubbed from a tape. We anticipated some skepticism about the demo so that is why we have offered the two live demos that will be streamed. Christopher Lee Ralph Engelstad Arena

The image that you see during a live game will be better than the demo. I can not guarantee, however, that the image quality will be greatly affected when you are on a dial-up connection. Remember, we highly recommend you to view the webcasts with a high speed connection for best quality. Christopher Lee Ralph Engelstad Arena

If you have the hockey package you can watch the game anytime you please because the games will be archived and automatically put into your account. If you buy the game individually you will have to watch it live. Also keep in mind that the demo is a digital recording, the live feeds and archived games will not be recorded but streamed thus making the quality better than the demo.

To answer your questions... 1) You do not need High Speed Internet to watch your games but it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you do. A high speed connection will allow for better quality and better returns for your money. Try the demo out to see how it will look. 2) The reason it gives you 5 views is because if you have any difficulties with your computer, etc. you can log back on without paying again. Hope this helps. Christopher Lee Ralph Engelstad Arena

Just wanted to let everyone know that we have posted new hockey footage for the demo. As you can tell, the clarity is much better than the clip from the St. Cloud game clip. Keep in mind the live feed will be even better than this. Thanks! Christopher Lee Ralph Engelstad Arena

Hello Sioux Fans! I am an employee for Ralph Engelstad Arena, Inc. and I am in charge of the webcasting of UND Athletics for next season. We are excited to bring this groundbreaking technology to Sioux Fans all around the world. I wanted to clear up any questions or concerns that you might have about webcasting. We have just wrapped up fine tuning how we are offering our games over the web and have finalized the schedules. We decided that the number of games that we were initially offering just weren't enough. Ultimately, we have split the sports up into packages. Instead of the three home football games offered, we are offering all of the home games in our Football Package. The four men's and four women's basketball games that are being played at The Ralph will be put into a basketball package. But we have added the most to our Hockey Package. We came to the conclusion that the men's home games weren't enough. So we are going to include the road men's hockey games and all home women's hockey games as well. In addition to receiving the games for the package you purchase you will also receive archived games and news conferences relative to your sports package. For the all-around Sioux Fan you can purchase all sporting events on the web via our Sioux-per Pass. With this you will receive every UND game and event that is being offered. Games will also be offered on a per game basis. We have switched around our free demo games as well. It made no sense to have our free demos a month into the "webcasting season." So we have taken the free demo from the men's hockey game versus Concordia and switched it to the Potato Bowl football game versus Minnesota-Crookston. (The Minnesota-Duluth men's hockey demo will stay the same.) The Potato Bowl will be a historic game because this will be the very first live internet streamed game in UND History. This will also give you an opportunity to see the quality of the live streamed game. The demo that is on the website of last year
