  1. You're absolutely correct but I am in a foul mood!! Driving through St. Cloud to a week-end assignment this morning, I was at a full stop for a red light and a stupid FOOL plowed into the back of my car! I have a headache which 800 mg of ibuprofen has not relieved, a broken car, was two hours late to work and I have to work. The only good thing is the flow is slow!!! I'm in a foul mood and have zero patience for fools!!!

Sorry about the foul mood, hopefully you are OK and the car is not too bad.

  2. We are looking for a hotel room for the Final Five that is reasonably close to the Xcel Energy Center, has Sioux fans staying at, reasonably priced, and also has a shuttle to and back from the games. We have usually stayed downtown but the only rooms I can find are at the Hilton Garden Inn for $179 per night plus parking fees.

  3. We've stayed at the Hilton Garden more often than not (only stayed elsewhere three different years) and I think it's the best. You can walk via the skywalk to the X, it's close to everything game/party related, the rooms are fine-fridge and microwave, and they have ample parking. The one time we stayed at the Holiday Inn, they ran out of hot water, parking is not sufficient for the number of rooms, no fridge or microwave and a drunk fan from a rival team tried to start a fight with my kid. We stayed at the Crown Plaza, too expensive for me but everything else close to the X was booked that year. Holiday Inn at Bandanna (?) was a short drive away but the traffic was a beast before and after the games. There are lots of hotels near MOA but I'm not into shopping during the F5 and, again, would have to drive to the games.

Which one of your kids got into a fight? Were we there also? I do not remember that. Where are you staying this year, we have not made reservations yet. Where are you staying for the Frozen Four?

  4. Kinda torn on Eids getting the start. Part of me thinks stick with the hot hand, keep Aaron sharp going into the Gopher series.

I can see that also but it is always good to have 2 goalies that are ready to go, never know when one may have a bad game or stretch or, hopefully not, get hurt. Nothing keeps you sharp like playing in a real game. Championship teams almost always have 2 goalies that can steal a game

  5. I agree with you about the atmosphere in The Ralph, but differ in that the M-I-N-N-E-S-O-T-A thing is kinda cool to me.

Sounds like a spelling lesson to me, maybe the gopher fans need to be reminded how to spell the name of their state!! I do not like it at all!!

  6. I am not even sure the SR need to have a vote. I would think that a poll of the tribal members would give the tribal council a good idea if the nickname and logo are suppported or not. A vote would be better if it can be done in time and if their constitution will allow it. From there they could have a council vote to approve or not approve continued use of the nickname and logo. They also need to get a longterm binding committment from both tribes before the SBOHE will consider the issue another vote. They do not want to go through this issue again in another 4 or 5 years.

  7. Gotta believe the Sioux will win this one based on how the Sioux played last night and how St Cloud looked yesterday. I also think the DU will be all over the Badgers tonight.
