I don't think gfhockey wants cocktails... gfhockey wants to drink some Keystone.
hahaha!

A little sampler for later tonight...I call it a "Scrapbook Edition"
I cant wait to have a bigger version of this one!

^ ^ ^ I love it. Classic reply. Seriously, though, thanks for making it a little easier to read. It took 10 minutes to uncross my eyes halfway through that chunk of text. I bet more people will actually attempt to read it now instead of gloss over it and move onto the next post.
Thats exactly what I did.

I would like to see a black out as well sometime.

Anyone hear about hextall?
I saw him go into the boards near the end of the 2nd....skated slowly to the bunch and put his head down in pain once he sat down.
-
I was at the game and they didnt replay the disallowed goal. Did anyone see a replay? Was it a good call?
Frattin skated into the puck but did not make a kicking motion... Im not sure he even saw that he hit it.

So i am on this site http://www.b2tv.com/partner_members.asp?id=178
how do i go about buying the webcast just for tonite and tomorrow?
I just want to be ready to watch it. Do you guys have to have a log on or how does that work? And I assume there wont be a monthly hidden fee and i wont have to cancel or do anything after this weekend so i dont keep getting charged?
Also, how are the qualty of b2 networks? does the feed ever crash? Hopefully they have extra bandwith for this game tonite
A link will show up 10 minutes prior to the game asking you to buy or watch it now. You cannot buy the games before that time. It is a one time fee and I have never had any problems with being charged again.
Also the feed is decent, but it all depends on the quality of the school's webcast I would imagine. Usually it never kicks you out and is one constant stream without buffering.

Amen to that! (Especially the last part.)
You can watch it, just buy it online...Its a small price to pay for being a die hard.

Is it safe to say that UND Hockey is the #1 sports team in the state? I don't think any other team in the state has more people attend their games in a year than Sioux Hockey . I don't think it is even close.
Not too mention the amount of people who watch them and can watch them....this whole national broadcasts thing is pretty sweet. Eh?

A lot of us wouldn't be too excited about giving up our seats on that end either.
Yea that would probably be the biggest road block and im sure the students wouldnt want to change either.
-
It may wrap around a little bit and they could still have the two corners in the upper level. They could also flip the ice (switch the home side) so the zamboni entrance doesn't come into play. I don't see the students giving up the center ice seats any time soon though.
Yea center ice is a beautiful place to be!

I agree with this idea. It would be more intimidating having the students on the back of the goalie for two periods. I know I've seen that at Maine and at Wisconsin, not sure if any other schools do it. Personally, I believe it's the best place to watch a hockey game.
That would make the student section small or spread out because the bar is right above the goalie...and don't forget the zamboni entrance taking seats away too.

What's truly bizarre is the headline reads 'Bison' yet the storyline correctly calls us the Fighting SIoux.
Because the page editor obviously didn't read the guys article.

Don't the Sioux still have Poolman running the conditioning program? IF UNO has any advantage when it comes to conditioning, it should be pretty minuscule.
And, cowbells? Seriously??
They're cows so it makes sense...

The recent goalie play is a very positive development. Going into the season, my number one concern was goaltending depth; if Eidsness were unavailable, we didn't have much evidence that Dell could do the job. Now I feel Dell is capable.
As for Eidsness, most of the comments here look like people searching for something to talk about. If the photo was a panorama of the entire Sioux bench, I'll bet they all looked about the same. Maybe they're all bad teammates then, and have lost their passion for the game.
Eidsness' last outing was very soid; he gave up two goals to Denver: a PPG that Belfour and Roy couldn't stop and a fantastic breakaway goal by Zucker. He made some tough saves and allowed no softies.
To borrow from Hak from the past, this team is getting close to being very good.
I was extremely happy with Eidsness' performance against Denver on saturday, his team just couldn't get it going. Surprised he didn't get a shot against UMD though. I still don't trust Dell for some reason.

Before the starting intros on Friday when the players were all lined up on the glass Eidsness wasn't close to anybody.....he moped back there, and was the last guy up to the blue line when the team skated up there before the anthem.
That photo was basically his body language the entire weekend.....looking like he didn't give a damn about anything.....
Conference championship freshman year, number two goaltender in conference sophomore year...Each year he struggled a little bit but ended up hot down the road. Wouldn't you be a little perturbed to if your coach didn't have enough faith in you to let you work out the kinks after you have earned the starting job the previous two years. I am sure he will be graduating this year, early btw, and then not sticking around and leaving as soon as the season is over.

I don't know what "the thing" . My daughter at Wyoming is a senior this year and I am embarassed to say that she has never, I repeat never, attended a basketball game. So, I am a parent of one of these college students and I have not clue one what in life has replaced going to games.
I have a guess.

is midcontinent picking up the games here in grand forks
I sure hope so!

I think they normally try to arrive by early afternoon on the day before most games. Last year I was at the airport on business as they were leaving between 10 and 11 AM on charters for 2 different games.
Yea I suppose it does make sense. That way they can rest up the night before as well.

Pratice Friday to get to know the field, plus meal time together on Saturday to prepare for the game and study time to keep up their grades
You make valid points.

I agree. Just because not everyone is going to the already sold out (or close to) fargodome doesn't mean we don't want to watch it on cable. What about the people in parts of North Dakota that can't make it but would love to see the rivalry being renewed. And what about the North Dakotans that don't have Internet or are too old to know how to work it. It's a shame.
