sometimes the Herald or the Forum have a livestream, but I haven't seen one this week.  You could also try WDAZ's website

Ill check that out for state. Thanks! Sioux are looking good tonight. Nice to see Scheel standing up to the task thus far

  2. Does the Sioux community have or is anyone in it interested in archived game video trades? UND Insider to my knowledge no longer has archived games and NCHC.tv only goes back to the start of the league. I'd love to rewatch some of the classic games or games with Pat Sweeney making the calls. Options or suggestions? Old episodes of through these doors are helping the appetite, but I want games! Thanks all and Go Sioux!

  3. Thanks for the replies. I wonder if that was the site I stumbled across last year. It had all the jerseys listed in chronological order and what not. Was a really nice site. I assume the Sioux-Jersey.com site is the same one, just under construction for a new format? Has there been an ETA till completion for the site?

  4. Hello Everyone,

I was just curious if anyone knew of a website that had a list of all the various logos and jersey's that the Sioux have used listed in chronological order with dates and pictures? Trying to do some digging and haven't found anything off the bat and thought I would ask for some help. Thanks in advance!

  5. Denver had already sold an exclusive to ROOT sports before nchc.tv was created.    When that expires, I expect nchc to cover their home games too.

Just seems crappy that the Sioux had nationwide coverage with Fox College Sports that they lost when the NCHC was created, and Denver maintains their rights with ROOT. I know there is a lot to it. However, for Sioux fans, it sucks.....

  6. I try to think that the NCHC feed is still a young and new service. It should get better with time. However, the announcer should have his mic pulled. He is pretty aweful.

Now, here is to hoping the feed comes back.

P.s. Wasn't the service also supposed to allow you to watch past full games and not just condensed games?

  7. I'd love to see this and just rotate it between the four schools home rinks. That way UND could host in both Grand Forks and Denver. ;) Seriously though, I like the idea of it being on campus just for fairness and it keeps the students in play usually creating a better atmosphere. Definitely wouldn't be down with it always in the Cities, although a Denver/Cities rotation would be fine.

All four arenas are big enough (for the most part) to do this as well.... I am sure DU and UND would be game, possibly Wisconsin, I just can't see Minn signing up for it.

  8. Union vs. UND would have been a better game than what actually happened, I believe. UND was playing with more heart than I have seen in a lot of previous years. However, Union was too as they were hoping for their first title. Games like the National Championship, I believe, are won more on heart than skill (to an extent that is), with some luck as well. I believe UND should have beaten UM based on play of that one game. We had the heart, not quite the skill, and unfortunately, lost the luck battle at the 0.6 mark.

I don't know who would have won if it was Union vs. UND. I believe the dynamic of the game would have been much different and the play would have been tighter on both ends. Here's to hoping we can see that matchup next year for the title.

  9. I have both of the games you referenced in the above post.

Looks like you have a pretty extensive list. That is awesome. I PM'd you. I have wanted to get into game trading. I used to do a lot on tapetrader back in the day with music, but would like to increase my sporting collection. Any recommendations on how to get started?

  10. So, I went to a Frozen Four party last night and forgot to set my DVR to record the game. I was wondering if anyone has saved it and has the ability to put it on DVD or anything like that? I DVR and put on my computer the good games so I can archive them and watch them later and am kicking myself for not DVR'ring last nights game. Anyone have the game? I can mail blank DVD's or a thumb drive or something if you would be willing to share.

Along these lines, does anyone have the Sioux/Gopher game from 2012 where the Sioux came from a 3 goal deficit and scored 5 goals in the third?

    Thanks!

  11. This....

It also bothers me that people don't think SCSU is any good. If they aren't very good UND is very very bad.

SCSU is coming off a great run to the frozen four, they have a lot of key players that returned and are playing well home and away. They are a top team in the nation and this sweep will see them even higher in the rankings. They are a great team right now.

That said, what is bothering me is what looks like may be the continuing tradition of a crappy season start. I was frustrated with the tie to Vermont, but 3 points was acceptable. A split to Miami was good even though game 2 was frustrating. Now a sweep to SCSU at home. That hurts. We can turn it around. But if we split away series and lose at home, we are in a world of hurt. Let's go Sioux. Only 6 games in, let's turn this around now!

  12. is it even possible to hit rock bottom 6 games into a season? this team is playing like a team that needs to win 1-0, but the problem is they can't because they make too many mistakes. whatever positives came out of the first three games have quickly vanished the last three. this team is atrocious right now. and the real crappy part about this weekend is und got swept by a very average team(what does that make und then) because scsu really isn't that good of a team.

I think you need to give SCSU more credit than you are right now. They are a good team. They were last year and are this year. However, we are/should be one of the Alabamas of college hockey. We are not playing as our team should and is expected to play. We lost to a good team. But a sweep, regardless of the team, at the home is completely unacceptable.

  13. Was at the game and didn't hear the reason St. Clair didn't play. Was he injured? Someone who puts out consistent effort like that shouldn't be sitting if not injured. Am looking for this team to have a killer instinct that isn't happy with a one goal lead, and keeps working hard for the next one. I just get the feeling that they think a one goal lead will be fine, as well as a second half surge to make the NCAA's. While the second half surges are admirable, it shouldn't have to come to the point where a game here or there could keep you out of the tournament. I have a very uneasy feeling about tomorrow night because I don't know if they will have a sense of urgency and think St. Cloud's goalie could steal the game. How bad would that be to have one point in Grand Forks against St. Cloud in two years. With all the alumni in town for the Gino Gasparini tribute, it would be too bad for them to fall flat again.

So this whole "we're good, we've got a one goal lead" mentality is starting to drive me crazy. It happend against Yale in the regional finals. It happened tonight. And it happens all the time. I am seriously begining to question Hak. Yes, he has lead them to the tourney every year. But that is what, eleven chances to need to win 4 games in a row and they can't do it?! Is it seriously a team problem to give up the one goal lead and fall flat on your face in the last period, or is that a coaching issue? I agree with tnt. This poor first half play followed by a push the second half of the year is bad. It needs to be broken and the team needs to play like what is expected of them. UND is one of the top hockey programs in the nation and we consistantly play the first half of the year like a mid tier hockey club. That is unacceptable.

which should NEVER happen in our building

But seems to happen more often than it should...

  14. Amen. Everybody retreated to the Miami end for the puck drop. At least before the mile-long review process.

That's what I saw too watching the webcast with Miami's version of Dan Hammer calling the play by play. I always thought Dan Hammer was the worst commentator for hockey ever....at least until I heard this guy.

Anyway, I degress, I would sure like to hear some sort of NCHC explanation of the penalty review. The fans were chanting "Bull S***!" and everyone was getting ready for a faceofff in the Miami end. Then the year long review and we had a penalty. I must say, thus far, I am not to impressed with NCHC officiating.

  15. Thoughts:

~Expected a loss tonight. Miami doesn't lose often at home.

~Zane is a tremendous goaltender. But consistency is still an issue. A few he'd like back.

~Young teams will have nights like this. More to be learned from a 6-2 loss than a 4-2 win. Sad, but true.

~Was nice to see the fourth unit continue to have quality minutes. Good for them.

I'll take a split at the #1 team in the nation. I know this program is about winning every game, but this league won't see a lot of sweeps.

That is a pretty good summary. I stated yesterday to everyone I talked to that I would not be surprised to see them get the split tonight. However, I never would have expected a loss like this. You are correct that this program is about winning every game but the league is to good for that to happen, however, I also believe that this program should lose close games. This was pretty embarassing. Goaltending and passing has always seemed to be an issue and it continued tonight...

Also, does anyone know what actually happened with that penalty review? I thought that penalties were unreviewable....
