I've heard the idea brought up before and I really liked it so I'll revive it.
Scott Hennen: Starting at (insert position) for (insert opponent), number (insert number), (insert opponent's name).
Crowd: Non-factor!

Actually, Jake's GAA is better than 2.00 in his last two starts.
He played 60:46 (minus 4 seconds on Saturday) and 78:56 on Sunday (just under seven periods) and gave up four goals. That's a 1.72 GAA.

Babich to St. Louis is no longer rumor and speculation.

I was informed by a WDAZ employee that the games would be on the Fighting Sioux Sports Network (across ND, SD, and NW Minnesota).
Still, I'd like to see confirmation on either WDAZ.com, Midcocomm.com, or FightingSioux.com.
UPDATE:
Someone from UND Athletics just confirmed this to me. (Thanks, Dan.) Here's the confirmation I was looking for.

Rick sent the following old Grand Forks Herald article to me. Enjoy.

I am very proud of you folks. You did an excellent job of self-moderating what I considered to be a "grey-area" statement. I thank WPoS and sprig for dealing with the situation in a rational manner.
Because WPoS changed the original post, I have removed the quote from other locations in this thread.

I'd like to know who kept track of the entries?
BTW, I heard his good buddy, Big Eddie, was counciling him on his numbers.
Swyg kept the numbers. Blame him.
"Big Eddie"? I don't know what's funnier, imagining him as my 'good buddy' or going to him for hockey advice.
-
OK, who's trying to "out" me?
It looks like I must admit it: I won Swyg's "Guess the Saves" contest for the series.

Your friendly neighborhood moderator just called Midcontinent Cable.
The person I talked to said they'll have the game on their cable systems on the channel that normally carries the Fighting Sioux Sports Network.
Those cities and channels are listed here.

If you want to look at the 2001-2002 preview, Marc got some mention in there.

Since we all appear to be trying to throw our own shoulders out by patting ourselves on the back, I hereby submit an article highlighting Mr. Parise before any of the previously mentioned appeared.

PCM mentioned a piece by ESPN. Here's the link:

SockeyeSioux, it's good to see your travels returned you home safely. It was nice to meet you. Be well and hope to see you again sometime.

Your moderator was there. (Another poster was there with me. He can admit being seen in public with me if he chooses.)
These are my impressions and mental notes from the Green and White scrimmage at The Ralph.

Then I wouldn't have to be in the boat all by myself.
I've been holding an oar in that boat since April.

Prpich has the credentials to be a "big goal" guy. Look at the powerplay, shorty, and game-winning numbers he put up in the BCHL. Those "big goals" (killer instinct goals, back-breakers that close out opponents) were missing last year. He appears to have that nack.
Another thing missing was a right shot from the left side of the powerplay. (Schneekloth was over there but had to take passes on the backhand. He couldn't get off a quick one-timer.)
With his defensive experience and powerplay history Prpich would be nice to have out there, but he's a lefty too.
Of course, none of this matters if he's living in the sin bin (or press box after too much time in the bin).

Kaaaa-BOOM!
Just fooling!
Thanks for all the kind words. Sometimes I think I need a hobby, a life, or to spend more time on a golf course.

I'm sure you can find something to read here: http://siouxsports.com/hockey.htm

I've passed this one up the chain.

Here's a shortened version of Clayton Hoyt's link:

The long link made you have to scroll left/right on the screen so I modified it.
