Just logging in. Who won the Bemidji game, it was over that quick or did they just switch games?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Denver just won in OT

CC gives up another short handed goal. 4-3 CC

Wow...this game is crazy.

He'll get his....He will get his.....(greene and him meeting up in the AHL one day, NHL one day..........where a beat down is a five minute penalty without losing a game or two.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Paukovich and Greene have both been drafted by Edmonton. Do you get a penalty for fighting with someone on your own team?

Pics from Denver game can be found using the link in my first post.

From USA Hockey.com
Team USA crossed the Red River separating North Dakota from Minnesota -- and the 2005 IIHF World Junior Championship venues in Grand Forks and Thief River Falls -- to face Germany in exhibition play Wednesday. And while the United States opened the scoring, it would need a significant comeback effort to win, 5-3, in its final exhibition game before opening the '05 WJC in earnest on Dec. 25.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

For anyone waiting for their ticket packages, I called REA just to see if they had an actual date and they said that all of the ticket packages were mailed out today. They said that everyone should receive their tickets no later then December 10.

Just got a message from Sioux Crew, the GVSU fans will be in section 213

Wrong. If the taxpayers of North Dakota didn't fund the university, it wouldn't exist. Period.
The university exists for the students. It doesn't exist because of the students.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I stand corrected. Sorry about that.

When you are stuck in the middle of any of the student sections and you have students all around you standing, you can not sit down unless you don't want to see. I understand the whole being respectful thing, but when everyone around you is standing, you have to stand to see. I will admit that our section (108) was standing a lot, but it is the Gophers, so any time anything happened...we were on our feet screaming and yelling.
Also, there is no reason for the non-student fans that want to sit, to cry like babies all the time and try and call students out, that is just stupid. Grow up.
I think the atmopshere last night was great, at least in our section, it was so loud I could not hear myself. That is what these games are all about. We are at these games to cheer our team to victory like the little blurb they give us during every game says. Most of us are not there just to be seen.
If the non-students want more respect from the students, then they need to learn to respect the students, it is a two-way steet, if you are not willing to respect the other side, don't expect any respect in return.

Anyone know the record of the Gophers in the new Ralph?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I think it is 3-2-0
They won all three in the first year, no trip the second year, and lost both last season.
-
2. I don't think it will be Sheperd officiating, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was Anderson. He and Campion haven't officiated yet this season to my knowledge.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Campion was the ref for the Gopher/Pios HOF game at the X. I have a feeling it will be Anderson. I would take Campion over any other ref in the WCHA, especially Anderson and Shepard.

My 2 cents:
*Goaltending - Hope to see Lammy in this weekend for at least one game
*Penalties - Don't take so many!
*Power Play - With the number of pentalies being called, need to take advantage of this.
I wonder who the ref will be this weekend....
I predict a Sioux sweep, 3 points at the least. Also, Zajac and Spirko each get a couple points both nights.

I am willing to make signs again this year but I need to know who I can count on to hold them. Any volunteers?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I am in the second to last row of the lower bowl, I could hold a few. Also, I know the people that sit in the row right behind the visiting bench and I am sure they would be willing to hold a sign up behind the bench again this year.
One of my favorite signs from last year was this one. This one was good too.

Parise in Net, Lammy the back up. Jake not dressed tonight.

Tickets are now on sale according to the REA website.
2 games on August 10th, 13th, and 14th. $20.00 for the 6 games in Grand Forks.

Anyone notice that on the left side it says "Sabres"?
It also says "Blackhawks" on the right side. I saw some more on there but did not catch what they were.
-
Sioux lost, what happened?
Denver put the puck in the net and UND didn't

I must have blinked & missed it. I watched the entire show & all I saw was everything but college hockey.
It was pathetic, they snuck it in the middle of the college hoops, they said something to the effect of "Maine and Harvard, college hockey has it's own NCAA championship as well. Maine down 4-1 come back with this goal from so-and-so to tie it, and then the game winner from so-and-so, the Black Bears score 4 time in the 3rd to win and advance" and that was about it. No more then 20 seconds tops. No suprise that it was an eastern team either, maybe they should look and see that the WCHA is 4-0 right now and the Bulldogs are about to make it 5-0

It looked like he kicked it in at first...but I think it deflected off the DU players skate. It happened about 5 minutes into OT.
