My favorite pizza in Grand Forks is actually at Toasted Frog. It's just hard to order pizza with all the other items available there.

From the replay angle that i saw, it appeared he took a knee to his groin/privates when they did the chest bump. I think that was what happened.
A friend of mine told me today that the radio program in GF said it was a cramp. Guess that sounds better than a kick to the ......

Need facility and coaching salary upgrades. Also, hard to retain good players with new transfer rules. Not like the DII days.
Makes me think of Alabama. "The football coach is making multimillions a year. That's more than all the other coaches combined!"
Everyone plays by the same rules for salary and transfers. I would argue that we have some of the best facilities in our conference for 90% of our sports. Ok maybe 80% golf, soccer and women's softball may suffer do to our climate.

Wrong thread but yeah that’s the word.
Yes but I was saying that some people have a problem with hockey getting all the attention. There's a reason. I'll go back to reading as opposed to posting.

For the record, why aren't we complaining about not promoting men's and women's basketball? We may have the most exciting freshman coming in to the mens program in years. And that says alot.

They sell out games because northern North Dakota and northern Minnesota love hockey and UND succeeds at that. When was the last time GF teams won state high school hockey? Or better, how many times have they lost the state hockey tournament in the last 20 years or more. Now ask the same question about Red River or Central Football. Its a hockey community. Could they do a better job trying to get people to football games? I 100% agree. But its an afterthought for people on what am I going to do with the family this weekend. Just so you know, I have season tickets to football, hockey, mens bball, and womens bball. I'm a sports nut, that's why I have hung around this website for almost 20 years.
I exaggerated, it's only 15 years

Q: Why only the Ralph?
A: Laziness.UND athletics and marketing only has time for one sport, and it’s not the most popular collegiate sport in the country …
there’s no question that UND athletics marketing should be promoting package deals, because until the Alerus is being sold out for games, you keep doing everything in your power to increase exposure to the product and have someone in each and every seat in the building. Not rocket science, it’s marketing 101.
But again, UND athletics, lazy.
One small difference IMO, The Ralph sells out most games. The ones that aren't sold out at regular price they offer at a discount to fill the seats,(4 or 5 games a year?). If the Alerus has to discount tickets every game because of no sell outs, season ticket holders will stop buying their season tickets and just buy them per game because its so much cheaper. Again, JMO.

Is Sproule from RR playing juniors this year?
He's playing for Red River this year, I think he was drafted and/or played for Minottaurus. But as of now he is playing at Red River this year.

The Ralph decided to switch to Budweiser products this year for all of you who were tired of Coors and Miller products. That should make some people happy. (And others mad of course)

I understand the desire for some of the old. The Old Ralph was a special, special place. However, the REA has been nothing but a massive positive for UND and the hockey program. I'd love to hear it louder, consistently, but I think people are mistaken to think that place hasn't been earsplittingly loud on many, many occasions nor is it not one of the loudest barns in the country with an incredible atmosphere.
I think the loudest I heard the Ralph was when the gophers lost in overtime to Holy Cross. That was priceless. That is one of my best memories. I know there were a lot of other great times. But that was just the best.

Is the view from the suites that bad when the students stand? I've been in a suite a dozen or so times in the last few years and I don't recall issues with sightlines when fans stood at the end of the game.
If you're in a suite between the blue line and the corner of the rink and students are standing in the middle of the rink, you can't see very much of what's going on at the opposite end. (if you are sitting in the seats below the glass.) If your sitting in the bar stools behind the glass, there's no site line problem.
-
From what I know, a lot of the issues raised with the students and where they sat (or stood) had to do with suite owners. If the students were standing, people sitting in the suites, below the glass doors of the suite, could not see. If the architects were to get a mulligan on the design, they would have built up the suites another foot or two higher.

Former UND hockey player Tim Skarperud's brother Matt passed away in his sleep last night after playing in the Birchmont.
Tim and Matts father, Craig, was an all conference basketball player in the early 70's at UND also. Quite an athletic family. RIP Matt.

The Ralph IMO has lost its "Brand" in the ND community. Still the best college hockey arena, no doubt, but in the first 10-15 years they were providing a great entertainment venue. They had the Kansas basketball game, the Agassiz tennis match, top rank boxing, 2 or 3 concerts a year, world curling, world juniors, globe trotters, preseason NHL games, I could go on and on, it was what was happening in the RRV. Now it seems like every concert goes to the Alerus center, which is fine, works for GF, but the Ralph has stopped bringing good events. What happened?

Has to hit the bottom of the cup to count as in. That's why you see guys carefully pull out the pin before they remove the ball.

For those of you not geographically adept, Traill County is the one between Grand Forks County and Cass (Fargo) County. You left out the driving after suspension, where a warrant was issued for failure to appear.

Chase Bank? They bought the Village Inn and Pier One Imports in Fargo and changed them both into banks.

I doubt you can do that. Can't do that with tickets from the Ralph anymore. It's just a security thing so you don't text the same ticket (screenshot) to multiple people. Most need to be sent by email through Ticketmaster to another Ticketmaster or UND Fighting Hawks app.
