  1. Personal shots are fine when they're completely wrong. Makes him look even more idiotic than his assumptions.
  2. I don't have a kid, and I'm not from South. 0-2, keep taking shots though.
  3. A lot closer than I actually pictured. Roseau seemed to come out pretty flat, but the last period and OT Roseau dominated. Roseau scores on the PP while their net was empty with 23 seconds left to force OT 1-1, and wins quickly into OT to win 2-1. Roseau 2 Red River 1 Final/OT
  4. The South-RR game had like 15-20 penalties from what I heard, if not more. Sounds pretty much the opposite of what you said. But anyways... South beats DL 8-0, 7 goals in the first 2 periods.
  5. So now you're saying they've replaced biased officiating with bad officiating? Nice.
  6. I thought it was a known fact that if you get out of G-PR's rink with less than 10 penalties, the refs missed their last payday.
  7. Fictional components always mess stories up when truth is broughten into them. Damned non-fictional world!
  8. Aren't they already? As far as I know, they're getting much better than they were 2-3 weeks ago. They outshot Buffalo bigtime, and as far as I heard, they were dominating that game pretty badly, and lost in a shootout to them, who eventually won the tournament over a good Mayo team, even with really biased refs (Link to Mayo/Buffalo game comments). Then beating Century after being down 3-1 after the first is pretty good also. However, their real test is less than a week away, I suppose. Tues. 8th: Fargo South at Grand Forks Red River 7:30 pm (NDHighSchoolHockey.com for the info)
  9. All of you should get off your high horse. It's not like GFRR is a God and it's not like there aren't several teams in the top 5-6 that can beat another if they aren't playing hard. (IE GFC vs South, DL lost to RR 2-1, GPR only beat Shanley 6-3... etc etc) I sense this season is going to get a lot more interesting as it progresses. This weekend should be just the same. Keep it civil and let the kids play, I say.
  10. In fact, you could say that we have no idea how good the Riders are, and they may not even be in the top 4, since they haven't played any of the other top teams in the State. Really, I'm just using this as an example, because I'm sure RR will be the team to beat this year, but don't say a team is the front runner when you also say that you can't make assumptions if they haven't played the other teams, when the team hasn't played any of the other 'top runners' yet.
  11. Probably because GPR only beat Shanley 6-3, Fargo North beat Central, South beat FN 7-0, Central beat FS in OT, and Fargo North beat Devils Lake. Week of upsets, probably has everyone mystified. I don't see any consistency at all in any of the teams.
  12. If they aren't very good, being very chippy in front of a half-decent ref is going to destroy them against RR/GPR/South who can capitalize on mistakes such as those.
  13. I call a Williston team upsetting Red River in the state tourney this year.
  14. Why not? Obviously the most productive thing for high schooler to do is go on a forum and talk his teamates up.
  15. I agree, easier to hit the "Fast Reply" button that to hit the "Edit" one and edit your posts.
  16. Yeah I saw those names listed on the site. But nice triple post.
  17. Well going by ndhighschoolhockey.com there's only 4 other D on the team, and I've never heard much about any of them. But really it doesn't matter when you have a pair like Ladoucer and Galbreath. They'll be playing 75+% of the game anyways.
  18. Of course not. Anywho... who are the defense on RR's lineup after Ladoucer and Galbreath?
  19. A better game coming up this Tuesday, Grafton takes on FS at Grafton. Time for some good games instead of all these running time ones.
  20. Going by the caliber of Wurden, the only notable Defense I can think of on RR is Ladoucer/Galbreath, moreso Ladoucer. FS had a pretty good D core last year past Wurden.
  21. And I'm wondering what tempted the above poster to create a name like that, and not only make such an abnormal name, but for some odd reason tag the number 10 onto the end of it.
  22. I just see Arneson as a repeat of Diechert's senior year, if anyone else sees that parallel as of now.
  23. Compared to the story of Diechert? He's got nothing. But consistency-wise we'll have to find out. Diechert played on his head his Junior year, and it seemed to fade away the farther he got into his Senior year. I would put the two on similar playing grounds. (Diechert being lower than Moreland, ofc)
  24. Haha, you gotta admit that getting scored on twice in 6 shots by Wahpeton is pretty funny.
  25. The day that Wahpeton makes it to the State Championship game is the day that hell freezes over. All jokes aside, it would be nice to see Wahp sport a quality team every decade or so.
