  1. I'm sitting here debating if I want to run to a bar uptown and see if anyone will flip the SCSU/Clarkson game on for me, or if I should sit here at home, listen to the radio and post on Siouxsports?

    What do you all think?

Ah, dont watch this game at a bar. You want to go to the bar for the better game, i.e. CC vs. Michigan State. At least thats what I am doing.

  2. :D Even though I'm no fan of Goldy, this Holy Cross thing has been beaten to death. At this stage of the game, there have been enough upsets in recent memory to warrant a video-taped replay of the Crusaders' game-winner to every NCAA team so that they know not to take someone for granted as a cupcake.

I do agree with you that it has been beaten to death, but I was basically saying that this game wont be an upset as St. Cloud is actually playing very well as of late but dont have the outcomes that they wanted, but against very tough teams. They tied the Sioux twice, and took the Gophers to the brink. And I can say that I am about 99% sure that the Huskies wont be overlooking Clarkson.

St. Cloud wins 3 to 1

  3. I think that most people care because when it comes to the tourney selection, some of these cup cake teams get a #1 seed when they really shouldn't. Michigan is actually a very good team this year and does deserve to be a 1 seed, but Miami on the other hand is seriously over rated and they were rewarded a 1 seed as well. I watched the Miami Michigan game on CSTV and Miami didn't look anywhere near as good as Michigan. Other than that, its just a little banter between fans and also bragging rights.

  4. How do they select the refs? Will we see the WCHA refs?

Though I'm not sure how they select the refs, I am pretty sure we won't see any from the WCHA because there are 3 WCHA teams in the Midwest Regional.

  5. Anybody else think that Air Force is going to give Miami all that it can handle? I heard that Ehn is going to be back for the regional too.

Remember that Air Force gave a very solid Gopher team fits last year in the Regional.

I am also very curious how tightly called these games are going to be

If Ehn is back, I think the Falcons have a really good chance of knocking off Miami. Miami is seriously overrated and the Falcons are very dangerous with Ehn. Just ask the Goofers!!

  6. I believe that LaPoint will end up being a very good d man, and possibly be a 1st liner someday. However, he is struggling as a freshman, and the best thing to do right now in the playoffs when it is 1 and done is to sit him. That hit on him against DU was, I thought, a CFB and from that point on he was not in the game.

  7. "However, the Chicago Blackhawks' third overall pick in 2006 has yet to declare his intentions for next season.

Which makes Toews' selection to Team Canada intriguing, in that it has long been speculated that he was destined for Chicago this fall. But yesterday Toews admitted that what had once seemed a certainty in his mind is now anything but."

This waiting is driving me crazy!

  8. Most of you guys sound like a bunch of crappy fans... i hear so many positive things about our team and now the first 10 posts i read on the thread are about how bad our cheerleaders and band are. Should we get rid of the fans too? some of them aren't so pleasant either some of you need to take some pain killers damnn.... I just don't understand how people can be so opposite on here its ridiculous..

I agree! This is a college team and cheerleaders come with that. I mean, this isn't the NHL. I think they do a great job and are nice to look at too! :silly:

  9. Hale getting slammed by the NBC crew after taking a dumb penalty.

He was a defenseman on the ice when Calgary was 2 men down.

It seemed like everytime they said "Hale" they always added that he played at the University of North Dakota.

  10. He doesn't have anything to prove...let's see if the peer pressure can keep him around one more year.

There is going to be an awful lot of competition for ice time up front, especially if JT comes back:

    Toews

    Duncan

    Oshie

    Dutchman

    Watkins

    Kozek

    Kaip

    Miller

    Zajac

    Radke

    Forney

    Malone

    Hextall

    Trupp

    Martens

    Hamilton

To say nothing of the D

    Lee

    Chorney

    Finley

    Bina

    Jones

    Genoway

    Marto

    Lapointe

    Blood

    Good Place to be!!!!

Except the unfinished business of a NCAA national championship, and the memories with your college buddies. Some things you can't have when you go pro.

  11. Genoway is money on the blue line and it would be crazy to move him to forward.

No early defectors this year. Toews and Oshie have unfinished business!

    #8 in '08!

I agree! Duncan announced he is coming back, Oshie will follow next, and then Toews wont want to leave that line after the domination the second half of the season. He stated "What my teammates think is going to be very important to me, because they are the ones who know me best." #8 in '08!!
