I'd put Bruno in that category more than Cichy. Cichy has at least played.
Bruno hasn't much at all.
Bruno is also an honor student and pretty sure his rights were dropped by his NHL team so where is he gonna go? Doubt he leaves a degree on the table at this point as it seems like his only option.

Wisconsin is probably screwed since they went 1-9-2 against ranked teams this season.
Ya that's really bad. I like the current bracket with us playing in Green Bay with those teams but alas the season doesn't end today.

there is a major announcement coming today at 1:30 in regards to the 2011-2012 schedule. I would be willing to bet this is what it is.
Or maybe the game in Winnipeg against UNO

I'd like to echo what a few here have already said.. the fans in Omaha were awesome all of them were friendly and walking out of the rink a few thanked us for coming to town. Definately a road trip that I would like to make again in the future.
Sioux Sweep 6-2 4-1 (All goals from Frattin)

Only Drake, Cal Poly, and South Dakota are worth going to. The rest are garbage at home.
Ya that was my thinking too at least the USD game should be a sell out.. I hope

UND has posted the schedule on the website..................................................just to warn you.............you're not gonna like it.
3 Sub-DI teams: Sioux Falls, Montana Western, and Black Hills St.
Northern Colorado added as an away game.
I wouldn't expect attendance to go up much next year.

11 NCAA D-1 Football Titles, (most all-time) to 7 ncaa hockey for the siouxage, pretty sure football is much more difficult to win in as well....sooooo you grasping the concept?
And we're trying to talk about a hockey game not football...sooo you grasping the concept?

Notre Dame is too honorable to charge the siouxage for the use of the ND. In the past 4 or 5 years, the Notre Dame Hockey team has something like top 3 in wins in that span. Made it to the championship and played a close game against the very same Boston College that put up something like 5 or 6 goals up on the "other" UND in one period. Perhaps one day the University of North Dakota will be great again like the 50's or whenever you were good. A lot of similarities between UND hockey and Notre Dame football....at least the Irish have awesome academic standards....
and differences like we don't get our students killed while working during team practice.

We should all be thankful for the University of Notre Dame, as they have proven that even small, underfunded college hockey teams can do anything! Their football program BTW, has an awesome chance of beating SC. SC's qb is hurt, Notre Dame is coming off of a win against army!(yeah, not important) but more importantly a complete drubbing of Utah. USC on the other hand is coming of a 30 point loss to lowly Oregon State(losing record). Look at two proud programs to duke it out with less than ideal teams facing off.
As for all of your hating on me guys, come on, go on Bisonville and you'll see we eventually befriend the trolls! I don't say half as hateful of things to them! As for any "complex" i might have, I do have a "no nickname" complex which typically turns me against schools that aren't represented by a name in the coming years.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving, sleep tight, because if things go according to my wishes, Notre Dame leaves North Dakota saying, "Nice arena, nice atmosphere, overrated hockey team......and damn cold weather."
Yours truly, representing 344 Johnson Hall on the campus of North Dakota's largest university,
WhatsHockey?
You received my first negative reputation points.. congratulations

Thats the way I saw it. It was going right into the pipe and bounced straight out. I can't figure out how it could hit the pipe like that and go in.
Now of course it's an exhibition game. I certainly don't blame Mason for getting the call wrong in the first place (assuming that what we think we saw on the one replay) but you have to be concerned that he didn't reverse himself.
It hit the bar that makes up the top/back of the net and came straight out.

If you are under 18 you can't vote and we have more than 600,000 people living in our State. If you are going to disagree please have some basic facts instead of just emotional reactions from someone who doesn't even use their real identity.
I'm over 18 so I just evened out your vote.. this is the most worthless thread that has ever been posted here... woohoo Potato Bowl go SIOUX sports!

Penn State receives $88m to jumpstart hockey programs/ -- InsidePittsburghSports.com
I haven't followed this thread daily, but I remember star2city hinting at this earlier -- is it possible for Penn State to join the CCHA, and the Big Ten's desire to declare a Big Ten champion be satisfied in parallel with other formal conference affiliation? Like the Ivies? That is, could each school remain in their respective conference, but also be required to play each out-of-conference Big Ten team every season?

Here is a highlight of a great RB from New Jersey. Go to www.youtube.com and type in lindon run. I know the kid personally. He is deciding between North Dakota and Rutgers. Kind of a night owl,but he goes to class and gets along well with others. I know he prefers popsicles to salt water taffy so that may bode well for North Dakota !

NDSU, UND to renew men's basketball rivalry at the Fargodome
Little by little the rivalry is getting back in swing.
The Sioux hockey team is in Mankato that weekend. I know that a lot of fans head down for that series.
Very Nice

First off, Birkholz's deal isn't Lucia's problem. In fact, Birkholz did Lucia a favor by leaving. I heard that it is a drug charge (Marijuana). I don't know if that's even remotely true, but if so, the kid's dumb as rocks. It's kindof interesting to see that, though he can get suspended from a DI team, a Major Junior team will simply pishposh the whole thing. That's ok. Birkholz is fast becoming another $10 talent with a 10 cent head.
And, imo, Ambroz won't be allowed to unpack in Omaha. He's on his way back.
Second, rumor is rumor. I see Ness (who I assume was the one instead of a fictional Dman named Hess) staying.
Third, Lucia bashing is of Lucia's own doing. They're not that bad offensively. They have decent talent between the pipes. They have atrocious special teams (which, at least concerning the power play, frankly stuns me) and almost no team defense to speak of. People here equate physicality to team D and, to an extent, they're right, but it isn't always exclusive. Mankato's Team D in recent past was very physical but not always effective. Lucia did this to himself because he gives Hill too much power over the areas that the team is lacking and fails to recognize it well enough to realize that it is directly effecting his job. Minnesota logistically is strange these days. They fire or reassign Woog and the Rug alluding to the premise that they're affecting the quality of the game as it is being broadcast (The Rug I can see their point... but bias or not, Woog did a good job). However, the unbelievable loyalty to John Hill WILL cost Lucia his job.
Broken record, I know, but: A defenseman not developing... blame Hill. A defenseman developing.... despite Hill.
Leddy signing is just Chicago getting overworried about their team. And yeah, gone is all of their depth and possibly goaltending but.... They put themselves in this position thanks to Huet and Hossa and, to be blunt, the bonuses to Toews and Kane. Leddy was dumb. He should've stayed at least one more year and used it as leverage. There's a chance the Hawks will lose Seabrook next year and that means, though it won't effect Leddy financially, it could leverage him into a better position as to making the NHL straight from college.
Who will come in to replace Leddy?
Gardiner is replacing Birkholz, Holl is replacing Leddy

Sounds EXACTLY like Mankato...

Finnish Olympian to join Sioux
If Idalski, Lewis and Elander could land one of these two, that would really set UND up to be a power for the next 3-4 years!
Could you imagine if Poulin came to UND?

I could give a rats a$$ if you come to the casino or not. I have a Masters Degree, my wife and I have darn good jobs and I rely on the casino for nothing! Thanks for asking though.
And I still wake up in the morning better at life than you.

Short video with an interview with Rocco Grimaldi where he once again states North Dakota in his final three choices:

They should make the pairwise rankings into a college class. I mean, what do you think about "Understanding the Pairwise 305", or "Intro to Pairwise 110". Or even "Advanced placement Pairwise 310". Or even possibly a pairwise theory class. That would be fun.
I'm betting most college students would probably fail a pairwise class right now. I graduated four years ago, passed statistics, calc, and trig classes, and still can't comprehend the pairwise.
It'd be a 400 level class for sure.

Dropped to a tie for 8th right now with Yale. We'll have to make up ground in the playoffs since I don't think this weekend will do much for moving up based on tonight's results.
False, we're tied with SCSU in rpi and im not sure the reason they win that if we're tied but that would be our 18th comparison won moving us back up to 5th and we're only .0004 behind Bemidji in rpi which would give us that comparison as well. Also If we win and BC loses we get that comparison. And with a win and Alaska loss we might flip that as well im not sure.

I couldn't have said it better myself so I won't try but I agree with Siouxperfan7 that tailgating is the ultimate social sporting event, The one problem I have is that the general and student tailgate sections should not be seperated because not many students bring their vehicles to the game.
