Ok everyone, I managed to get some ice for the sunday after the Final 5 finally. Here is where its at: Plymouth Ice Center 3650 Plymouth Blvd Plymouth, MN 55446-3201 12:15 to 1:15 MapQuest Plymouth Ice Center If we can get 17 people to show up, that would be great. Im goin for $10/ person, goalies are free as always. The ice was $170 for the hour, so thats what the price is based off of. Hopefully everone sees this and I apologize for the mess/scramble to make this happen. brianvf, if you could let that goaltender know that would be great. If you have any questions, let me know. Well guys, I'm still trying to get ice that is somewhere on the northwest side area of the cities...I called 3 places on friday and left messages and got 0 calls back. I will look for others monday morning and keep trying. As soon as I know, I will post it here. I know this is kinda a mess, but I guess thats what happens when you work on short notice...

well, I still havent received any confirmation of any goalies yet. Phats will play in net if need be, but he sucks terribly at it. haha. Aaaanyways, I dont want to book the arena if we dont have goalies. I am going to try again tomorrow to see if I can lock something down, and I will also call around to see what there is for openings probably in the Brooklyn Park area. I will update again tomorrow night, and if anyone knows of a goalie that will play for sure, PM me here, I will check it regularily throughout the day tomorrow...

UPDATE: We should have goalies for this, I will get confirmation by mid week. On monday, I will try to get an arena booked, I'm shooting for Brooklyn Park or something in that area. Going for probably an hour and a half ice rental, hopefully starting around 11:00am. I will let everyone know more as I find out. Brianvf, and bertibm, can you please pass this info along to the people from the other boards that wanted to participate? Thanks everyone.

I think the easiest/least confusing way would be to just divide up and play this time around....I suppose we could get a general consensus when we see who all shows up the day of the skate. That being said, Monday I am going to work on getting ice booked so we can make this happen. I will keep you all updated. hrkac, we may need your buddy, find out if he is willing to play. We just need some commitments for goalies and we should be set.

Haha, good question, totally forgot about that part of it! If he could skate that would be good, then we would only need to secure one more goalie. We all know how hard goalies are to come by....

well thats 11 so far then, we are getting closer to making this happen. bertibm, if we get enough together, would you be willing to set up the ice rental? (I'm assuming you live in the cities...) If not, my buddy's brother lives in the cities, and I will just have him help me out with it, or maybe one of the arenas will take a cc over the phone for the ice time. So, it looks like the SS.com vs. POI/ all-WCHA skate is not going to happen this year, due to lack of commitment from whomever. My thoughts are this: Myself, along with two others would like to skate in the cities the sunday after the Final 5 like usual. My guess is there are others on this board that share the same feelings. I am thinking we may have enough interest from the members of this board to make it happen as a SS.com only skate. I would be willing to organize the rink rental if we could get enough people confirmed to show up for the skate. Post here if this is something you are interested in doing, lets make this happen! afterthought: if we cant get quite enough people from SS.com alone, maybe some of the guys that post on here from the gopher forum could get a few people from there that may want to skate also, maybe it can turn into a forum vs forum skate again? I know in the past, the POI team we have played is actually a city league team that plays down in the cities, but there has to be enough people on that board that play hockey that are not on that team? Either way, this could be a good time for all involved! -Nate

watch the video closely....the pass come off his one skate, and before he can do anything with his other leg, a BC player pushed his leg out with his stick...so whether he was planning on kicking it or not, he didnt even have control of the motion his leg made because it was moved by the stick of the BC player...the goal should have counted.

you know, I just wanted to point out that everyone is pointing at the defense. Yes, they did have a breakdown and made mistakes where they shouldnt...but where were the forwards...Osh and Dunc barely moved the puck the whole game. The offensive lines looked terrible, they couldnt move the puck at all much less generate more than a couple decent scoring chances. My point is, the TEAM lost the game, not Lammy, not Finley, not the D...the TEAM lost. Time to look forward to a good 08-09 season with some promising freshman soon to be sophmores!
