TRIVIA TIME: Herbel may have padded his stats yeah, but could anyone tell me who the two players are from last year's Team ND that are playing in the USHL and which teams they represented during their high school careers?

Nice post puck. At least there are a few decent ones on here. All the teams play hard. Good luck to all the teams going forward in the tournament.

Well Williston will have a lot of young offensive talent coming up. They do not lose any D men I believe. The biggest question will be who replaces Boldt and Haugenoe in net next year. If they are able to get some solid net play I look for them to be quite competitive in the West next year. They will have a very legitimate Mr. Hockey candidate in Colby Rehak along with several forwards who will be sophomores next year that would put some pucks in the net. As far as what it will take to knock off an East team in the tournament, I would say the West just needs to get more kids invovled early on and get more depth where they can roll at least three lines consistenly. You will not win against the East rolling two lines. I also think another big thing is getting facilities with year round ice out West. I know Williston for example only has ice from about early November to probably late March. If teams want to be competitive out east they are gonna have to put in the work over the summer in the weight room and on the ice.

Wow and humble you guys are too. You people need to get a life if that is all you have to do it sit and bash how supposedly bad the west is. Each region has top players the east just has a little more depth than the west. When a team can run four lines compared to two lines it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure how who is gonna win the majority of the time.

Ray cmon get a life. RR no doubt has more talent and skill than williston. If you think their experience won the game for them get real.

Well done Coyotes. Nothing to be ashamed of. Williston may not have the depth, the flashy talent, but they played with a lot of heart and effort. Although the West did not win a game this year in the first round this year I hope they showed a few of you people on here a thing or two.

I just have to poise this question out to everyone. I know this is only 2 periods of hockey, however where have all the west bashers went?? A team like Century playing South to a one goal game through 2 is pretty impressive. Now, in all honesty South could come out and put up 4 or 5 in the third on them, but I think some of you better take back a few of your statements about how big a gap there is from the west and east. Granted the east has a lot more depth them the west, but there are still many good players from the west past and present. Give a little respect where it is due.
