What a frickin rip off.
Ice is $300 for 90 mins. Which is normal for a college arena. The Insurance is what is making the price go up.

Myself and Sioux-cia's two sons will be there again. Dont really care what arena. They sure are proud of the Mariucci though, arent they? Main ice at the Ralph is $190/hr. Just sayin'.....
It is the University's property. They have to have insurance. Renting ice at the Ralph is jus like renting ice at Breck
BTW Ice will be at Breck

If we skate at Mariucci it will be about $20 a person if we get 30 people. Yes $600 total for 90 min of ice. Plus you have to purchase insurance.

Overall great weekend of Hockey. Split. Can't ask for much more. It will suck in 2 years when these teams will not play much. I will miss it. F U Penn State, FU Big Ten, FU NCHC.

So if Ambroz did slash Blood after the final whistle as it is purported, you will be willing to call him the instigator?
He did slash blood, I will say that, But did you notice the slap shot with 1.6 Seconds left by Blood that lead to that? Don't try to tell me he was putting that on net, because he was nowhere near aiming for the next. If is aim is that bad he would be playing Jr Gold somewhere.
This stuff happens between these 2 teams always has and always will. Both Gopher and UND fans just have to deal with it.

I am just posting. I do post here every once and awhile. Mostly setting up a skate with all WCHA fans (Alot of Sioux fans may I add). and people really don't seem to mind me posting. I don't come here and try to start crap when UND loses or if (a big IF) the Gophers beat UND once every blue moon. BTW you owe me $100 for posting.

Well OBVIOUSLY winning the tournament and getting a 1st round bye is more important. THANK YOU for pointing that out to me Scherlock.
Anyways, I called the X and they said it's just because they changed the format this year to 6 teams so the girl who "designs" the tickets thought it'd be a good idea to change the look of the ticket this year as well. Pretty Lame IMO as the design was awesome the way it was and I always enjoyed seeing the previous Champ on them, but whatever I guess.

I have only been to two Final Fives, but here goes...
A lot of fans stay at the Holiday Inn across from the X, but rooms are most likely completely booked by this point. I believe the Radisson Hotel is quite popular as well.
If you end up going alone there are UND fan socials at various locations downtown. I believe someone on SiouxSports hosts a breakfast social.
As far as tickets go, my first year I purchased Club seats from someone on Craigslist. Last year, my friends and I purchased tickets after the 1st round playoff series and got seats from Ticketmaster in the lower bowl behind the net. This year, my friends and I purchased our tickets from Ticketmaster last week and got center ice seats.
Try the Hilton Garden downtown St Paul. About $129 a night and is within walking distance. Kelly inn is much cheaper, but it is about a 1 1/2 walk
