The Sioux had something to do with it, too. Where's the gratitude?

AHHHHHH
THANK YOU DULUTH!
Somehow, even after playing like crap, we get revenge and find a back door to third place we should have gottenif not for two bad weekends! Always good to see the BADgers get it!
$2 pints of Guinness at Tech were the best! I didn't even need to eat!

I think this was brought up last year after the game, but if this is going to continue to be a yearly event, we should get a cheap trophy made. The winning team could be in charge of putting a new brass plate on it with the year and score, and then bring it back the next year for the winning team to take home. I think it could kind of fun. Could anyone see it displayed in the REA lobby where other trophies are displayed?

anyone have an old Protec they'd want to donate? We could stick a UM and UND puck on top and paint it Maroon and Green.

And yes, I am already tired about the Kessel hype. I mean, this is the biggest 2 year (maybe) committment to date!

I think Puffy will be on suicide watch if PK goes to UW.
Wherever he goes, he had better contribute, ot there will be some pissed off fans!

Is SS.com going to host a NCAA pool as other years? Or am I on crack and you guys never had that?
I hope you do!

is it any odder for me to NOT post certian things here and other things on GPL any different than posts here and there than GE, sagard or peeps from SS.com that post on both places?
To try and answer some questions posed:
Not the second coming of skippy, sorry, I rarely try to flame over here and if I do I always try to add an appropriate emoticon dealio.
Why do I come here still? Because generally I get along with you all (some better'n others) and you guys have some good talk going on here and it is always good to see what the "enemy" is saying!
As for being riled up, not really, if you actually read my post here, there is a second, more hidden meaning in it. Unlike other Gopher fans I am not espousing that PK would automatically lead to more NC's (altho it would be nice).
That all said, he will be a good player for whomever lands him, just as ZP was for UND. Will he be the biggest change in college hockey? Who knows, but I really doubt that ONE player can affect a team as much as everyone wants to think.

Another thing I noticed from UofW this weekend they are extremely dirty, although they have been like that for years, they also have returned their all star wrestling days and spent much of the weekend hooking and holding the quicker Sioux. I wouldn't have thought much of it but the guy behind me was talking about it so I took notice. The spear on Schnider pissed me off the most. The ref of course missed it. But UofW is really unimpressive to me.

It ain't ever going to Joe Lewis. Nor to Detroilet. Too far east. No league presence, what with Tech part of the U.P., and therefore probably closer to Milwaukee than to Detroilet. Detroilet is CCHA country.
As for WPoS post wondering about NCAA rules prohibiting The Ralph from hosting the games, what gives with that logic? The Ralph is no different, in ownership structure, than the Excel. The Ralph is no different that The John, home team wise. If the NCAA allows The John to regularly host regionals, why would the NCAA possibly care if The Ralph, a WCHA arena, hosted the WCHA Final Five?
Bottom line, it'll probably stay at the Ex. The rule on Gophers playing night games is ridiculous, especially given how many Gopher fans are already at home in the afternoons watching Judge Judy or waiting for their next visit to the chiropractor. Or to the job service office.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
it is about NEUTRAL sites. It isn't about the regionals, it is about the final five. The Ralph is UND's HOME arena, I don't see how they could host the final five and call that nuetral. And I think the Ralph is hosting regionals next year? But I ain't gonna complain, I'm gonna get a ticket!
That all said, I agree let the games fall where they may and not give preference to the Gophs for certain games.

in short, from the Mpls Red Star:
Briggs, mired in a slump that has lasted for more than a month, revealed Thursday he has a cracked bone at the base of the little finger on his left hand. But Briggs declined to say how or when the injury occurred.
"It was kind of a fluky, stupid thing," Briggs said.
I'd say he pulled a Waibel

BTW - the X is not the home of the Gophers, it's the home of the Wild. Gophers play in another facility on the East Bank campus at the U of M.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
This is true.
I don't even know if the Ralph could not even host the game per NCAA rules....or the Kohl hole....
