  1. Speaking of the atmosphere, did I really hear they played "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond, and the crowd chanted along with it? I almost puked. I don't know where that started but it makes me think of St. Cloud and Mankato and please, can't we do something a little more unique?

    Barf.

It's no different than copying "Always were" and "That's Debatable" on penalties. Not real creative.....

  2. So negative for absolutely no reason. What makes you think the season will end with 5 losses?

Purdue is a toss up, we will probably be slight underdogs.

Northwestern at home we should win, I don't see why not.

Michigan at home better be a win, they are horrible.

At the BADgers...I'll be there so it should be a win :silly: But in all seriousness, they are bad this year and were overrated to start

Hawkeyes at home...who hates iowa? Last game in the dome, should be playing for quite a bit and Iowa has on QB...another win

I see at least 3 more wins. 9-3 gets you a pretty good bowl if that indeed does happen. I can see anywhere from 8-4 to 11-1...

I wonder how much travel to Pasadena costs? :glare:

Gophers will win 2 more games. 11-1 is nice to dream about, but not realistic.

  3. I agree with most of your statement cept about the Plaza. Sure they are not the Canad Inn, but a great mom and pop run

    buisness.

sioux rube, Totally agree with you about the folks who run that place they would give you the shirt off their back. :silly:

Sorry guys, didn't mean to offend anyone.

  4. This is true, albeit when she smiles at you, you won't be sure whether to smile back or kick a field goal...

    Shawn-O-...that was awesome.

The Plaza in EGF is very cheap, but a dive. However, it's not far from the downtown scene in GF, and Whitey's and the Blue Moose are right there. Take a bar shuttle to the game. After the Friday game, hit the downtown bars and follow it up with the Red Pepper. Saturday, you can flip a coin between the Moon and Paradiso, but since Paradiso is mexican food, Sunday may not be pleasant on the ride home. Before the game Saturday, I'd do a bar and bus ride again. Follow your same routine, but after the bar I'd suggest spending some money on a cab to get you to the I-29 Truck Stop for an order of fries and gravy.

Another great hockey trip to make is the Final Five in St. Paul. That is awesome.

  5. There's no doubt May can play, but how will he be in a structured enviornment? Down at the dike or in pick-up games he's awesome, no doubt about it. However, at UND he'll be expected to play a role within an offense. That scares me because he's always had permission to do his own thing. Had he not open enrolled at North instead of going to South, him and Allard would have been tough together.

  6. I'm planning on getting tickets for Duluth for the Nov.21-22 games. Does anyone remember what end we shoot as twice? I'm thinking it's the end with sections 20-28. Driving back from there last year on the ice has erased my memory of where we sat. UMD SEATING CHART

The Sioux will skate towards section 28 twice. We were there last year too. We stayed at the Edgewater Resort. It's a little spendy, but it's only a couple of miles from the Decc, and the kids had a blast. The indoor water park was cool. Duluth is a great road series. It's a fun place to go, and the arena will be half full of Sioux fans.

  7. They have girls that went here who are now playing in the WCHA helping coach. They demonstrate more than anything. What shocked me about them is how short they are.My daughter is only 12 and towers over 2 of them. But they can skate believe me.

What is the cost of the camp, if you don't mind my asking?

  8. I am not sure where you are going with this; but do you have a problem with Pheasant Farms? I know from past experience because the pen raise birds don't sit still any more than the ones in the wild. Last bird that I hunted at Dakota hunting club flew away and did let me shoot him.

"Last bird that I hunted at Dakota hunting club flew away and did let me shoot him."

Wouldn't you do the same if you were the bird...haha... :silly:

  9. Trying out for the vikings this weekend. good luck

Hopefully he can have a good showing to garner interest from other teams because the Vikes won't sign him being Klewe is fresh into a 6yr deal.

  10. If you do find a "reliable" on-line betting site, good luck on using it. The nanny-state (read: federal govt) has made shutting down the off-shore sites a top priority, since they obviously have nothing better to do, even after it got slapped around by the WTO after Antigua filed a complaint. So, they've been pressing banks and card companies to preclude using credit cards or on-line transfers to these places. PayPal used to be okay, but they've crumbled too.

Bodoglife.com is best online gaming site there is, but the only college hockey lines they put out are during the frozen four.

  11. Why? They beat us tonight. To them, we're way up on the ladder. I compare it to us beating Minnesota back in '96. We were a mediocre team that year (mid-league) and Minnesota was #1 in the polls. It happens in every arena when a lower seed beats a higher seed, regardless if it's a single game win or a sweep.

I agree. That's part of the college atmosphere. UND students do plenty at the Ralph next to the penalty box. It's all part of the game.

  12. According to Phil Hanson when I listened WDAY, nobody on the Gopher sidelines except the freshman seemed to be into the game. He mentioned how the coaches weren't even talking to the offense when it came off the field. His comments gave the strong impression that neither the coaches nor most of the players were very motivated.

That's not to downplay NDSU's impressive accomplishment, but others at the game appear to disagree with your characterization of the Gophers giving it 100 percent.

Let's give NDSU some credit here. For the second year in a row they have outplayed MN. Last year that MN team played in a bowl game. Whether you like the Bison or not, they went on the road and beat a Big 10 team. Phil Hansen actually said that the only people that appeared to be in the game were freshman that were waving towels because there was not a lot of communicating between coaches and players. Seriously, give some credit when it is earned.

  13. I don't think he would go to Nebraska because they just treated him like crap with making him the scape goat. why would Coach Bohl go to a team that may be worse than the team he is coaching?? Money can't be the only thing in that guys mind.

Tell me your not suggesting that coaching at NDSU is a better gig then at Nebraska?? Yes, Nebraska is struggling, but let's get real here...

  14. any sentence that starts with "rumor, I heard, or Word on the Street" please dont even bother posting because it is just going to get other people spreading stuff and say inaccurate information, unless you know for a FACT that it is true then post it, otherwise you are wasting peoples time!

Since you've been a member for a month and only have 24 posts, it's probably not the best idea tell others on this site what to post and what not to post. Actually, they are free to post what they want. The poster was just trying to relay what they had heard regarding the injury.....

  15. If I was Hak I would tell Jerry York that if he wants to play the Sioux at home again he should consider an up grade or using the TD Bank Boston Garden. If not they can travel to UND this is a travesty and the Sioux were turning it on and on the verge of taking the game over.

The Celtics canceled their game tonight because of excess moisture as well so it must be a common them in Boston.
