  1. The added difference in penalties between the good and bad teams of the east will make for some very lopsided games....due to the potent powerplays of the perennial powers...should make for a fun game to watch though
  2. I think you are putting too much faith in Grafton....a very much unproven team relying on several upcoming sophomores and a no-name goaltender.....yes they have a solid first line but the statement that theyre too much for any D in the state will be shoved back in ur face when they play a quality team. South will be too deep for any team to consistently overcome this season but I see the Three-pronged (Meland. LaDouceur, Galbreath) attack pulling off atleast one upset
  3. All the contacts in the world can't bring in players to shanley. Frank Burgraff coach a little ways back and through his family and camps he recruited much of the regions young talent...yet i havent heard of any stars transferring there, anyways i do not know the man personally and also wish him luck
  4. if strength is the only variable holding these two back thats a good sign....seeings how they were only sophomores last year i would expect to see a large improvement in strength and physicality this year from both of them...meland has the hardest job carrying a lackluster offensive push from RR this year while ladouceur has his partner in crime jaret galbreath! what do u guys think?
  5. metz i believe will be playing for the fm jets this year, just a chip in the armor for a very deep south team. the hill anderson miller line will hopefully be reunited this year and make for some fun hockey to watch. red rivers depth at forward will hurt them, meland will need somebody to play with, he had one of the best players in the state feeding him last year (mihulka).
  6. I understand that ur trying to get wurden some recognition and by all means he deserves it. But to say ladouceur is underrated is a joke...Galbreath gets more attention being he played as a freshmen but ladouceur has quickly caught up to him and has just as much if not more potential than galbreath...and "knowsall"...all u do is brag these two up, u want me to try and get u their phone numbers...
  7. I would have to take Red Rivers junior class over Devils lakes. They have proven themselves to be some of the top players in the state. South has a large number of talented players returning this year, that, with the addition of McBain, should definitely make them one of the favorites again this year. Ummm as far as up and coming bantams i know grafton has a couple that will make an impact, some central sophomores and freshmen should make it due to lack of talent.
  8. let's start an 06 07 thread....
  9. I was unaware the young Tyler Swanson had made it this far in their tryout camp. His jump to the NAHL would leave a large hole in the Packers this winter. Please keep us updated on how he fairs throughout the weekend.
  10. As far as rotating the state tournament is concerned that should be a dead issue. Having it in Grand Forks increases both the attendance and the enjoyment of the players. The Engelstad gives the state tournament a sort of majestic feel. I dont see this rule changing anytime soon.
  11. Marc Mihulka has chosen to forego the open tryout in fargo, i also believe he will be trying out for green bay...on another note John Greciar from Central will also be attending the Fargo open tryout this weekend
