  1. Well, our boys did the best they could against CC. I guess you're still alive for the McNaughton. Now please return the favor and finish off St. Cloud next weekend.
  2. Thanks, Sioux. Minnesota State is now ahead of Minnesota in the standings.
  3. Excuse me very much, but it's The Midwest Mankato Minnesota State Wireless Alltel Civic Center at Mankato University of Minnesota State Wireless Center. Get it right. Thanks for knocking off SCSU today. Now do the same to UMTC tomorrow and I'll be a happy man.
  4. I prefer to believe that he's coming to Mankato. The absolute silence on campus regarding any contract renewal for Jutting is telling, in my opinion. I don't think Jutting will be back behind the bench, and the Blais to Mankato rumor makes sense given that he has a house south of the Twin Cities.
  5. Actually, it was 73 seconds. You guys have by far the more talented club. Now that we're done with you for the season, I'll be pulling for you the rest of the way.

    O Sid

I'm speechless. How can anybody with a modicum of understanding of the game think that Bettman has been even mediocre?
  7. Our shoes are just fine I've messed around with your "what if" calculator, and in all honesty I don't see any realistic scenario where the Mavs end up in the top half of the league. I wish I could see these games on TV tonight. I'll be listening on radio. Good luck all.
  8. If Morin and Kalinski are healthy, it should be an interesting series. If they are out, or playing at reduced ability, the Mavs are pretty much screwed. They are not only the two best offensive threats, but they anchor the #1 penalty kill. Kalinski has tied the Mavs season record for shorthanded goals this season, and seems to get a shorthanded breakaway at least once a weekend.
  9. His name is Campion, and he's no champion.
  10. It was Kollar in Mankato. One of the Mavs (I don't remember who) flipped the puck high in the air (but not from the defensive goal line, more near the defensive blue line) as he peeled off for a line change, and Kollar let it drop down behind him for a goal. Didn't he take himself out of the game after that?
  11. Nice sweep you guys, and I loved the Bina 180 foot goal!
  12. There might be a couple of the bars that cater strictly to students that might be a bit dicey to go in with your Sioux gear on, but I've never seen a problem as long as you don't act like a complete jag bag. My personal before-game favorite is McGoff's Irish Pub right across the street from the MWCC. There are always a lot of Sioux fans there, but it tends to be a little bit of an older crowd. Back behind the MWCC, near the Holiday Inn, is Chevy's, which is real popular with visiting fans. Don't count on getting walk-up tickets. Attendance seems to be continuing the trend established late last year, which was up. As was mentioned before, we were over 4,000 for SCSU last Friday, and the two biggest attendance games in MWCC history were against the Sioux, both standing-room only. However, there is no class on Friday (a mid-term grading day for faculty,) so a lot of the students may leave town. We will have to see how it goes. My season tickets are in section 219, so I guess I'll have a lot of you folks up behind me.
