  1. Actually I think LJ has tremendous skill but makes Ill advised decisions at critical times. My bad for calling out one player as this is a team effort or lack thereof. Still love the SIOUX and I am hopeful they will be refocused for the 3rd period and next weekends regional in Siberia.

  2. Ice looks better and upper deck feels colder. Maybe the early game and bad ice screwed them until TC cooled it down in here...although they have still played awful. Maybe it's just me but I feel like Luke is allergic to hustle. Loses his stick, slowly retrieves it, glides back while DU peppers Zane

I noticed the same thing. It would appear he needs an attitude adjustment. His whiffs, dropped sticks, arguing with the refs while play continues is getting old.
  3. That's what I get for posting after I have been awake for almost 24 straight hours - meant to say HURT the leg of MacMillan. I've heard all the rumors that you guys have about the nature of the injury, but haven't heard confirmation on anything... and I'm fairly sure his leg wasn't broken... oops.

For some on this site, this will not be credible as Schloss only has 2 posts and in the eye's of some posters in order to be credible you have to have a plethora of meaningless posts....

  4. I would love Sioux Falls to be in consideration  as I live in Sioux Falls and a huge Sioux Hockey fan.  The new arena that just opened is awesome and going to my first game tonight against Sioux City (USHL).  A lot of "hostile" words in the last several sentences...... :sneaky:

  5. My favorite time of year was when it was time to go get skates at Colborn's and Serge would get you fit into the proper skate. More than that he would take the time to find out how hockey was going and give pointers on how to improve. He will be missed but never forgotten. Prayers to his family and friends.

  6. Don't know much about SD hockey here but anyone good enough to get a look at? Or do most need a year or two of juniors before colleges start looking, granted most HS hockey players need at least a year?

Not really at a point yet where kids get a lot of looks. There is a kid from SIoux Falls who plays for the Stampede that will play at Mankato next year. The logistics of the state and the fact that b-ball is the winter sport make it difficult but like I said, we are making strides but nothing to the caliber for the Big TIme schools to even consider at this point.

  7. How's your squad this year on the SD side of the boarder?

Pretty good. Just finished the year and finished 3rd. Hockey is getting better in SD. We can go to MN and compete farily well against the smaller schools but still get it handed to us against the BIg Boys like Eden Praire, Edina etc... A lot of quality players and we are making strides each year. Gotta help having the Stampede in town and having a coach like Eades in the community.

  8. The 8th grader Jaxon Nelson was pretty good for Luverne and the commentators said the Gophers have already been looking at him. Overall Luverne surprised me a little bit and gave Hermantown a decent game 6-3.

I have coached against this kid for years. He is the real deal. Over 6 ft. in 8th grade and can put the puck in the net!
