Minot area - it has hovered around 14 degrees today..wind is ridiculous...at one point, we couldn't see the neighbors that live half of a mile away (cross country). We had plenty of food since everyone was supposed to come here and no one could make it. Gotta love ND weather...i think my family is going to try again on Sunday for Christmas. I hope you are all safe and warm...if you are driving back from somewhere..be safe....also if you are leaving later, try to post on Siouxsports and let us know you made it...I would feel better!

Depends on what you are looking for...restaurants or bars? Restaurants: Whitey's BWW Texas Roadhouse Blue Moose Bars: Gillys Joe Blacks O'Reilly's I am forgetting some, but others can fill in. Most bars downtown have buses to the games, I believe as well as several restaurants. Where are you sitting, if I may ask and that would determine good food around you.

Um...the newer design has been there since 2004. It is the logo that we changed to when they switched from the geometric logo. The jerseys are new this year though. Edit: Why I have 2004 on the brain is beyond me..but it was earlier than that....2000? It was before the Ralph was built! I apologize for that misinformation.

NICKNAME SUPPORTERS CAN BE FANS OF FOOTBALL, OR BASKETBALL, OR BASEBALL, OR VOLLEYBALL, OR SOFTBALL, OR SOCCER, OR SWIMMING AND DIVING, OR FILL IN THE NAME OF A SPORT HERE. I APOLOGIZE THAT BY SUPPORTING ALL UND SPORTS THAT I DO NOT FIT INTO YOUR OPINION OF A NICKNAME SUPPORTER, BUT I AM NOT GOING TO CHANGE. Which, the cost of "fixing" the Ralph can be lowered when you take into account that per the settlement with the NCAA, the Ralph does not have to replace all of the logos.

Again, as everyone has tried so desperately to point out. THE COURTS EXIST TO INTERPRET THE LAW....the United States Constitution gives the courts that right.....it is a little thing called the system of checks and balances. Google it or try googling School House Rocks...they have some interesting videos that everyone can learn from. The court may not have interpreted the law that way when it was written because there was not an issue with it at the time and no need to see it that way. That is why courts routinely revisit laws and interpret them. Granted, I do not know much about law, so I do not know how this will turn out, but neither do you because only the law and the right system can determine that. Oh, and for those of you who think UND hockey fans are being "selfish" for supporting the nickname, keep in mind that fans of the "other sports" are in favor of the nickname too. Are they being selfish? Just because one supports the hockey team doesn't mean that they fail to support the other teams.

just to say, Wayne Stenjeum does support the nickname, but part of his job as Attorney General is to act as attorney for the SBoHE...you can't blame a guy for doing his job.

while I was at UND, it was until the first whistle...so at least the last 6 years, the students have been doing that.
