  1. Sorry but I am not interested in playing. I am GF_siouxfan's friend.
  2. Thank you for clarifying my point. I noticed that the previous post has been deleted so that person must have realized what I meant. Red River lost two games this year in which the refs were a big factor in the outcome of the game. Both games went to overtime and in my opinion, considering how much time was left in both of the games when the goals were scored, Red River had a very good chance at coming out with a win in these two games that they lost.
  3. It is sad to see all of this complaining that has continued on for a while now on this thread ever since the Youtube video was released; however it needs to be addressed or refreshed in some peoples' minds that this was in fact the state championship game, and the missed call dramatically changed the game. I would assume that many people would also complain just as much on this thread had something like this happened to Grafton.
  4. Well put ND Pride like usual. I'm glad to see you back on here posting! However, it is sad to see that the refs couln't pick up the too many men penalty considering it was a 6-4 after all. Who knows if the defensmen goes off if the extra player drops back to play defense? Don't need to criticize that, just a possible thing that could have happened.
  5. Hats off to Grafton for beating this Red River team that played exceptionally well this season! It was sad however to see Red River in person lose two games that had a big part to do with the officiating. We cannot say this would've kept the same outcomes in the games had the officials made the right calls, but they would have certainly made a huge impact on the games. I think it would have been great for the state of North Dakota to have a team hand Roseau it's only loss so far this season. They sure looked like a very good team tonight too as they beat Moorhead 6-1 in their section final.
  6. Yes, after watching the replay on this Ladouceur jump over Arnason and then the cramps arose. You can also see Galbreath shove Mohagen into Arnason and then after he's on the ground he attempts to hook or slash Galbreath. I noticed throughout the times that I watched these two teams play that these two went at each other quite a bit.
  7. Anyone can go on and on speculating a hockey game. Say the too many men penalty is called against Grafton or the fact that they had six men celebrating the goal (which constitues as a delay of game penalty), Red River would have had a power play for a little over a minute and a half. Grafton more than likely sends two of their forwards from their top line to kill the penalty off. So now there's about six minutes left in the game. Two players from the top line need a break don't get back on the ice right away as fresh as they could've been and get matched up against Meland's line along with Ladouceur and Galbreath like they had been the whole night.
  8. I agree with you. I'm in no way saying that Rehak shouldn't be up for Mr. Hockey. After watching him yesterday he is after all a very good defenseman. What I am trying to say is that there are more skilled people that could be more worthy as far as a candidate for Mr. Hockey. I mean it is pretty obvious that the race is between Ladouceur and Meland, but possibly a better candidate could have been named than a kid with 19 points from the west. When has a defensive defensman ever won the award? I cannot recall someone in recent years that was described as being a defensive defenseman. My only reasoning for why a player from Red River was not named along with Ladouceur and Meland was that maybe the coaches thought those two helped others on the Red River like Schaefer and Galbreath by contributing to their point totals or possibly that Red River shouldn't be allowed to have three candidates because that might be too many for a good team that has the best senior class by far in the state. Who else from the east could you think of besides the seniors on Red River that could possibly be a candidate for Mr. Hockey? There's no one else I can really think of if any that should be!
  9. I must say that Rehak is a good player from what I saw of him last year when Williston played Red River, but how does a player from the west with only 19 points become a candidate for Mr. Hockey? And yes, I know he plays for a team that is not that good but that still shouldn't matter.
  10. I think a better finalist from the east could have been added instead of Colby Rehak from Williston. I know he's been playing for Williston for a long time but I mean there's plenty of other candidates that could have taken his spot from the east or even a player such as Andrew Seeberg from Bismarck High who led the west in scoring this year. How does a breakout player like Nick Schaefer from Red River who has 69 points and is second to Eric Meland's 75 not get nominated? Or possibly Jarrett Galbreath of Red River who's also been playing high school hockey for quite some time.
  11. I would also like to congratulate Devils Lake on their first season in the EDC. They played extemely well for a team that has been in the WDA for a while! What really surprised me was their third place finish by beating Grafton. Overall, a really good season for the Firebirds.
  12. I cannot figure out how he didn't make it especially after his performance in the championship game. In my opinion, he is the best goalie in the state. I know he had a good team in front of him, but he came up big when he needed to all year.
  13. I have two questions. How did Pat Arnason not make all-state and how come Danny Wurden did not win Mr. Hockey. These two questions I cannot answer myself and hopefully someone else can give me their perspective on this.
  14. I wonder if Wurden's grades or Miller's DUI this summer had any factor in determining the winner.
