Just saw this thread. I'll take 4 in black. No moniker.

Although the particulars don't appear to be the same, things did not end well for Vermont in their hazing scandal a decade ago.

I don't know if you guys know this or not, but I'M kind of a big deal...
Perfect.

I ran the full last year and loved the course (flat!). Couldn't make it this year but it looks to be a bit warmer this year than it was last year... of course you'll still probably have to contend with the wind! Goodluck to all runners tomorrow. My next marathon probably won't be until December in Huntsville, AL but may try to sneak an early fall race in.

All in the name of "parity"...
-
The odds of Crosby ever playing for the Sioux were equal to the odds of him playing for any other college team. They were also equal to the odds of him spending a year in the International Space Station orbiting the Earth.
Soooo, you're telling me there was a chance!

Correct me if I am wrong but if you have a customer ID # with the NCAA, you are more likely to get picked?
Depends on your priority #. If you have been buying tickets every year since 1997 then you are a shoe in. But if you have only purchased tix in one or two or those years then your odds of getting tickets in the priority process are pretty low. I don't know where the cutoff has historically been in terms of priority. I've always received tickets through the priority process but with 13 years of "priority" built up, even with a customer ID# from the NCAA, if you have a low prioity # you will probably get tossed into the general pool.

Still going... at the Westin in downtown DTW. Wife still needs a ticket, but I imagine tix will be fairly easy to come by.

I think Stoa was just trying to light a spark under his team's but. Plus maybe Hexstall was getting under his skin a bit and he just took out his frustrations. No big deal in my book. It's hockey... I wouldn't call it bush league.

I was in the car listening to Howard Stern in Hartford when they broke the news. I had taken the day off from work to get a few things done around the house but spent the remainder of the day in front of the TV.
I had been in NYC the previous Sunday hanging out in Central Park w/ a friend. Neither of us had been to the WTC so we just decided to walk there from Central Park (about 4 miles). We figured the place would be closed and we wouldn't be able to get to go to the top, but we just had to go check the place out... I'm glad we did. I had my picture taken in front of the gold sphere that sat in the plaza. It was weird seeing this site take center stage in front of the world a couple days later.

We (my buddies and I) could always tell how good a party would be by the level of Chuck's intoxication when we arrived.
So very true. Chuck and I really didn't run in the same circles but he always seemed to show up at some point in the night.
My favorite CK moment was him showing up at a hockey game at the old Ralph dressed like Kris Kross - all of his clothes on backwards.
Favorite CK musing in the Dakota Student: "I can't recite the Lord's Prayer, but I know every word to the opening of M

I just purchased my tickets off ebay...and looking forward to the trip to Denver.
As Denver has a pretty solid Sioux fan base, does anyone know if there is an alumni gathering or a pre-game get together in Denver anywhere??
At Brooklyns at the Pepsi Center prior to the Thursday game.
-
We are coming in Thursday morning staying downtown at the Warwick... anyone else there?
-
ok, so I logged on to Sioux Extra so that I could get the package to watch today's game and it won't let me buy the 24 hour pass. Anyone understand this?
GO SIOUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been having the same problem the last few weeks. No idea why...

Tim O'Connell had a similar accident only it was the skate across his face they put in 40 stitches. Player in front of him was checked and flew over the guy and his skate sliced Tim over the cheek bone. Had he been wearing a half mask tho it might have been worse cause the skate would've caught the bottom of the shield and who knows how much more damage it would've done. After seeing Zednik's thank goodness Tims wasn't as bad.
Didn't Mitch Vig get cut by a skate in practice? On the forearm and cut some tendons as I recall.

The Wild's play by play guy, Dan Terhaar was voice of the Sioux at one time, but not sure if he did hockey. Scott Miller in Fargo, same deal.
Terhaar did Sioux hockey in the early 90's. I really liked him. As I recall, he lost his job when the Sioux went to a different station. I thought I remembered him doing St. Cloud hockey sometime after that, but not certain.

I drink. I fall down. No problem.

By March, Minnesota will be good. For now, its fun to see.
UAA is no slouches, hard-working lunch-pail guys that battle for 60 minutes. They will rack up some good wins before this year is out.
Agree... Minny is having some issues with youth, but will be right in the thick of it at the end. KO is starting to turn it on as well, which will help a ton.

The place hasn't been the same since Mark Johnson owned it.

Well that game was held at the DCU Centre in Worcester, which is about an hour South of Boston . . . but much like Conte, it's a dump.
Worcester is west of Boston, but yeah, it's a total dump... though the Sioux have had some success there.

pseudo reporters
I thought it was sudo reporters?

I am pretty certain I know (knew) the two shown in picture #14.
-
I just don't understand why Sioux fans have a reputation for being whiners.

Great news for Robbie and Sioux fans!
Given the facts of the case that came out at the trial, did the GF police over react? I know Bina shouldn't have opened the door (not even an inch), but did the police make the right call in this situation?
