Who is GBpakrazz?

If they only lost twice, and one was to Roseau, wouldnt that imply that they tied or beat South. I've never seen either play so if there is anyone who knows could they clarify.

I believe the committment rule is by state, ND to my knowledge does not have a rule against players who have committed to a junior team or college playing, but I know that in Minnesota they only allow players who have not committed. Also, from what I've heard Mihulka is most likely going to be the only RR player to try out.

Kringstad deserves everything he gets, he is the biggest baby in the state. Go ahead and attack me for picking on a high school kid, but he is old enough to control himself and he does not. If I were from Grafton I would be embarrassed to see him put on the maroon and yellow, real unfortunate when the kid plays a great game just to make a fool of himself again after the game. I heard Bina and his staff are going to wear full equipment for the handshakes tonight in case Kringstad fires a puck at him like he did at Malm. Is Jay Haugland afraid to stand up to his goalie, or just oblivious?

You make no sense. Everyone has the same oppurtunity to get to the state semifinals so how can you say they arent "supposed to be there.

It doesnt matter how bad your team played, as the head coach you are an ambassador for your team to the press and it sends a pretty bad message when he is too immature to comment on the game. It's that kind of thing that probably influences why the Forum covers Moorhead hockey more than FSH. If a proffesional coach ditches a post-game press confrence they are hit with big fines, if you cant handle the heat, than get out of the kitchen.

It's not a matter of where he is from, becasue he's been playing hockey in Fargo for 4 or 5 years. That type of behavior is not tolerated at RR or Central, Malm or Bina would have had a spot for him on the bench. Wilson is a classless coach and it shows through in his players sometimes. Also, it was nice of Wilson to talk to the Forum after Saturday's loss, or is he the one who had no comment.

Mihulka is flat out the best all-around player in the state. He has more goals than anyone, (with the exception of that McBain character), is the best penalty-killer in the state, and he single-handedly beat the "best team in the state" when they knew he was the only player they had to stop. I was not won over on Mihulka for Mr. Hockey before the EDC tourney, i always felt he was the best all-around player, now there is no doubt in my mind he is the best all-around player to come out of ND in a long time.

Its sad to think that although Marc Mihulka has clearly distinguished himself as the best player in the state, I dont think he will be a canidate for Mr. Hockey. I think its gonna be Galt, Weisgarber, and Paul Campbell.

You know this post by lives to play hockey just proves to me that he does not play for RR or for that matter have anything to do with the RR program. IF he did, he would know that there were no JV players behind the class, they were all together up near the top corner of the arena. It's quite humorous that people actually believe that this poser is a member of the RR team. Where in my post did I say anything that would need apologizing for?..... I simply stated what I saw and what I think of a player and his immature reactions.

I just got back from the RR-GPR game, which I thought was well-played bith ways. I have one question however, what is the deal with Tony Kringstad? He has to be the biggest baby I have ever seen in a hockey game, any age. After RRs 5th goal, he turned around to a kid, probably between 11 and 14 who was pounding the glass after the goal, and blatantly pointed at him and said "F#$% you". The kid was in no way taunting him and there was absolutely no reason for it. He lays down on his net and throws his stick every time a goal is scored on him, at one point tonight a coach on the bench was forced to yell at him for about 10 seconds from the bench to get up. Anyone who disagrees with me has to spend a game standing behind him and I can guarantee you will agree. He is a disgrace to the rest of his team.

In the defense of those who said Galt didnt have great numbers as a sophomore, will someone please point out how many of the players you listed were defenseman?

Wow you know youre stuff, seeing how I'm not even from Grand Forks, not to mention I havent been in High School for six years. Good point to on how they would be being recruited by D-1 schools if they were that good, seeing how they are SOPHOMORES and recruiting laws prohibit contact between a team and player before the end of their junior season. But I guess its me that doesnt know my stuff right, when you feel like growing up and making meaningful conversation, post again. I have never said that Eric Galt or Paul Weisgarber are not very talented players, but to say that LaDouceur and Galbreath arent amazing talents for their age is just stupid. Never did I state that they are as talented as Ryan Poltuny or that they will be drafted in the 2nd round, I just said that they are two very smart, talented, young defenseman who could definitley one day be D-I prospects. I have also never claimed that Rosendahl is a god, have I once said that he is a Phillipe Lamoureux or Aaron Walski....No. Also, you might not know this but in the one year Rosendahl tried out for elites, he split time with Oakland and had very similar stats. The only reason Oakland left high school is because he was on a terrible team with no sign of improvement. As I stated earlier, you need to grow up and think about what youre saying before you say it. If you dont know your facts, shut up.

I'm gonna have to completely disagree with you on this one, they are both amazingly talented high school hockey players. Not to mention they are SOPHOMORES!! I have seen both of them play extensively this year and I would be willing to bet that both of them will be highly recruited D-I prospects when their time comes. They will both be 6 feet tall and if they put on some muscle, which juniors will assist in, they will be just fine. Sometimes people forget that its not all about strength when it comes to stopping oppsoing forwards, it has a lot to do with positioning and hockey smarts, both of which are qualties these guys portray. As a matter of fact, they remind me alot of a younger current Sioux recruit, Jake Marto. Not by any means the biggest or strongest guy on the ice, but he sees the ice as well as anyone and he seems to be doing just fine.

As stated before RR dominated the second half of the first and whole second period. They came out very flat in the third and Minot capitalized on there odd man rush, and point blank oppertunities. The more i watch LaDoucer and Galbreath the more amazed I am with how good they are. Hope to see them in a Sioux Uniform in a few years.

Thanks for the good post. I was getting a bit annoyed by the number of players that some people think will be playin D-I college hockey. Then when they said 80% of high schoolers intend on playing after high school, well that just made me laugh.

As I stated earlier, it is harder to keep a high save percentage when facing as few shots as these guys do. Also, I dont know if this is the case for Deichert, but RR gives up alot more breakaways than they create. For some reason they have a knack for giving up breakaways against teams they are dominating and as a goalie it has to be difficult to not see a shot for 8 minutes and then be faced with a clear breakaway. It is hard to say how these goalies would do if they were playing for a team such as Wahpeton or Jamestown, but you also have to realize that those goalies have been facing 40+ shots per game their entire careers which undoubtedly helps them develop as goalies. Rosendahl and Deichert have probably averaged less than 20 shots a game since they were 8 years old, who knows how good they would be had they been facing twice as many shots their whole life.

The tie-breaker is goal differential against the 3rd place team in the region (Grafton), which can be found on the ndhsaa website under 2005-06 Rules and Regulations. So if RR beats Grafton by one goal or less, South is the 1 seed. If RR wins by 2, there is a coin flip, and if they win by 3 they are the 1 seed. This of course assuming neither RR or FS stumble hard before the end of the year.

Red River did play well tonight, although the first period was rather weak offensively, as they generated very few shots on net. The only knock on RR that I have is that I have yet to see them play a complete 51 minutes this year. The South game was very close, but they took about 5 minutes off and South scored all three goals. I highly doubt they will be able to beat FS come tournament time if they dont put togther a complete game. I would also have to disagree with you about the weak goals call, the first one was a rebound which he had no chance at and the third was hit in by a teammate. The only goal he had a shot at was the second, the shot hit his blocker and deflected just under the crossbar.

I attended the Red River-FN game tonight and I must say I was rather surprised at how far Fargo North hockey really has fell. It was really men against boys. There has been a lot of talk on this thread of a few North players being among the states elite but I think that there are probably 6 or 7 players on RR's roster that would be the best player on FN. Also I must comment on the immature play of many of the Spartan players late in the game. They got quite chippy and that kind of play is totally uncalled for in a game that is already over. You'd think with all the ass-whoopings theyve had this season theyd be able to handle it better.

Just got back from the South-RR game and all I can say is wow. Probably the best high school hockey game I've ever seen, had everything.
