It was 20k, not 30k, and it was reduced last week to less than that. It still might not happen, and those troops might come back or hunker in place to assist if needed.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.globalresearch.ca/30000-u-s-soldiers-sent-into-europe-without-masks/5706084/amp

"However, one category of U.S. citizens is exempted from these rules: the 20,000 soldiers beginning to arrive from the United States in European ports and airports for the Defender Europe 20 exercise, the largest U.S. troop deployment in Europe in the last 25 years. Including those already present, about 30,000 U.S. troops will participate in April and May, flanked by 7,000 troops from 17 NATO member and partner countries, including Italy."

That article is from three days ago, with no mention in my feeds of reducing these numbers or sending them back, unless you can show otherwise. The number of personnel participating is more like 37,000, actually.

US Military has postponed a number of training exercises. I believe that included the European exercise but I would have to look that up. Only a fool would call this nonsense. There is room for discussion concerning what we should cancel and the media has been a big part of the problem. We don’t need to be scared but we need to be concerned. If medical people where you are from are treating this like the common cold they are ignorant morons. They should be able to go about their daily tasks as usual but dealing with this requires much more than the common cold. Lots of hype, plenty of over reaction but this isn’t the common cold and we can and do test for it.

Well, sorry to inform you, because the troops are just arriving there, according to that article. Quite a risk to place our 30,000 troops & local population there in, yes? After all, this is a growing pandemic, according to the news outlets.

What do you make of this decision, iramurphy, to go ahead with this military exercise, considering that the rest of the world is going into lockdown?

  3. Because everyone avoided my last post like the plague, or like the coronavirus, I submit again:

...the US will soon have 30,000 troops doing military exercises throughout western Europe, without masks or any kind or protective gear; coming into contact with the local populations there on a big scale. But Europeans can't fly here for at least the next 30 days, I guess, because of the danger of fanning this dangerous contagion. Lol.

If this is such an infectious pandemic, would we risk such high numbers of the populace there or our troops to such, spreading it further? Of course not. But the locals there have no choice and are being confined against their will, much like is happening to us.

My wife is a RN & works in the surgical/trauma unit of her hospital. Most of her colleagues are approaching this covid nonsense as a variant or strain of the common cold, which it likely is, & taking the necessary precautions. Not saying policy or perceptions there won't change, but that's the prevailing attitude there as of now amongst the nurses, I can't speak for the administrators there....and don't be surprised if (or when) covid-20 emerges later this year once the temps dip again, and covid-21 next year, covid-22, etc., resulting in more cancellations & reductions in personal freedoms, like our right to freely travel, mandatory vaccinations, what have you.

And I guess we can't test for it, according to Cratter's post above, but we can sure give it a name. Sometimes you just gotta laugh.:D

30,000 soldiers arrive in Europe without masks

    by Manlio Dinucci

    "..
"The 30,000 US soldiers, who will « deploy throughout the European region », are thus exempt from the preventative standards set up to deal with the coronavirus crisis which, on the other hand, do apply to civilians..."

This gets more & more comical. Much of Italy is going under lockdown, with the rest of Europe following suit, but I guess US troops are immune from this growing pandemic. Lol. These US troops will also be interacting with the local populations of the various European countries to one degree or another.

Good excuse if the economy crashes; can blame it on this supermcduper virus & not mismanagement. Also makes people forget other relevant news, like the rampant pedophilia in the upper echelons of power, & other important topics. A red herring of epic proportions. Welcome to The Hunger Games.

Hey, folks, the Truth wants to be recognized & accepted.

  5. Problem-Reaction-Solution is defined as the strategy of a government creating a crisis, or the problem: war, financial crises, terrorist attacks, epidemics, etc....

waiting for a call for action from the masses to resolve the crisis, or the reaction: "Something must be done about this, this can't go on. What are they going to do about it!"

then the government taking action, the solution: supposedly in response to people's outrage & fear, which actually furthers a hidden agenda, that people wouldn't normally accept had there been no manufactured problem to begin with, such as bombing a country back to the Stone Age, lower interest rates, mandatory vaccines, limiting personal freedoms, etc.

In other words, create the problem, & then offer the solution.

This method of tightening the screws on society is derived from the Hegelian Dialectic, I think, and was originally referred to as Thesis, Antithesis, Synthesis. It's a proven means of altering society on a massive level.

Not everyone will accept this method of how society is changed through deception & lies, especially on a hockey forum & I realize that; but I like to present people with alternative ideas which are counter to conventional wisdom. Because enlightened people should at least consider the possibility that there may be another reason for the problem, to weigh all facts & maybe consult Providence/their intuition, BEFORE deciding what their position will be. So I'm not trying to necessarily change someone's mind, simply presenting another side to be considered.

What people do with that information, after all possibilities are considered, is their own karma.

Let me know when Disneyland or Mall of America shuts down.

True, and boatloads of Chinese (where it supposedly originated) tourists, at Disneyland & in Las Vegas, but no outbreaks in those places; and haven't heard of any young schoolchildren being infected in droves. I guess this super-mcduper deadly virus, that only the CDC can diagnose, btw (lol/talk about a scam of epic proportions), is throwing many healthcare professionals for a loop.

Strange how certain venues are being cancelled, & others are allowed to continue, like the NCAA basketball tournament.

It's easy & there's no risk of being an outcast when one runs with the herd & parrots the tv; types I call matrix-reinforcers, oftentimes showcasing their loyalty to the state & various causes via bumper stickers. It's nice to see courage & a free spirit with some here, to raise one's hand, speak up, & say "Just a minute now...", regardless of the consequences...to rise above the droning & regurgitations of one's statist peers in the name of common sense & freedom.

If they develop a coronavirus flu shot, maybe all this hype will convince people to take the shot. (edit)

Maybe that's the purpose, tv-induced fear is a powerful motivator & will make people do things they normally wouldn't do. This "outbreak" is more rampant in people's hysterical minds than in the streets or their bloodstreams; with infection rates near or at zero in households with no tv.

Corporate news is almost entirely agenda-driven & is the antithesis of actual Truth. If people can't see that, or don't want to see it, then they've been successfully conditioned to love, obey & never question the state's edicts.

Rod Serling would have a field day with this, was a master at portraying how fear, hysteria & other base emotions can be used to manipulate & control the fragile human psyche, as well as entire societies.

I have a better chance of passing away from a boring conversation at work, or being t-boned by a psychotic driver here in Phoenix, than contracting the coronavirus.

    SMH

But the TV with the attractive talking head reading her corporate-approved script said the coronavirus was real, deadly & out of control, so it must be true. Obviously, because we all know that the TV & Google are synonymous with Truth, never agendas.

    Substitute flu for corona.

    Fear porn.

    Question everything.

Tell that to the Swiss Hockey League where they'll play the playoffs in empty arenas, or the city of Venice which is a ghost town, or literally anyone here in a town with at least one infected person.

Only in the US could a deadly virus be considered a hoax...

Like burd said, it's a hoax to see how gullible people are. The flu kills tens of thousands each year, but no one is being quarantined for that. And if this "coronavirus" was so contagious, all the passengers on that Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan, all berthed & mingling in tight quarters with poor air circulation, would have been infected. But they weren't. The government solution -- being quarantined against one's will, with possible forced vaccinations down the pipeline & restricting one's right to freely travel--is far worse than the manufactured problem. It's a beta test, or dry run, to see how many people buy into the state narrative.

I apologize for posting this in a game thread, & nothing personal against southpaw at all, but patent nonsense should always be countered. I will say no more here, & southpaw can always DM me.

I hope Thome plays... Something isn't right with Scheel.

Scheel starts again, thought coaching staff would go with Thome as he seems to be playing with more poise & focus. We'll see.

Blaisdell, Caulfield not in the lineup, I'm assuming they're healthy scratches. JBD also not dressed.

Last night was probably UND's worst 60 (+) minutes of hockey this season. That was a game they would have lost last season and/or the season before. Winning last night is an indication this squad is vastly different from the previous 2 that missed the NCAAs. They have something different. They will be playing in late March....... possibly April.

Listen to Berry in his post-game comments last night. I was following this thread throughout the game, and from what people were saying here, it sounded like an embarrassing performance.

Then Berry gave his post-game analysis and he sounded quite pleased, he even stated it was a better overall game than Friday: crisper passes, better transition. He said we started out very well the first 5 or 6 shifts, got flat for awhile after a penalty got us out of rhythm, then picked it up again.

I don't think he's one to sugarcoat things if he doesn't like the performance; he usually lets the media know about it. Like some have said, it was the second game & we were playing a desperate team who has pride & who did not want to get swept.

  12. I feel the same way, well not really numb but this loss didn't really bother me, because I was kind of expecting it. That's what is disappointing for me, my lack of faith in our team and coach.

I felt good about our chances tonight, but am not shocked or saddened in the least. That's not where I want to be after a Sioux hockey loss. But the last decade-plus has conditioned me not to put too much emotional investment in them. A person just expects or gets used to losses in big games when it trends this way year after year. A couple of times it may have been on Hakstol in the past; tonight it was on Zane, sketchy officiating & not being able to buy a goal on multiple chances. Whatever.

Blind luck would have us winning at least one of these FFs the last 11 years; seems almost like a curse has been put on this team bc I'm running out of rational reasons.

  13. Plenty of time left for Omaha to come back but where is that Maverick team that played tough against UND each time the two teams played each other?

Not a lot of jump for Omaha so far.

Omaha played well in the regular season, but in the playoffs not so well: weak against RIT & now they're getting clowned/schooled by Providence. Didn't see this happening, the Friars look like world-beaters.
