  1. I'm curious to see what other jersey's they'll be auctioning this summer because if they sell last years jerseys they're not going to have any to sell at the games, unless these are just leftovers from the previous years.

Does anybody know if they're going to use the Swift jersey's for the home and away starting this year. I hope not.

  2. There was a shift in the 2nd period were Kozek's line was being physical, finishing they're checks and it was like old Fighting Sioux hockey for 30 seconds, it did get the crowd into the game more.

It seems we're missing the physical aspect of the game this year especially. Radke and Finley both tried to mix it up to get some kind of spark but Shepperd's crew just couldn't allow that.

Remember the defense we had with Greene, Schneider, Fuher etc. who blocked some 20 shots in a game sometimes? I don't see that in this defense yet.

I'm still hopefull Hakstol will right the ship in the second half of the season.

  3. There wasn't one hard question on the show last night. First question I would have asked out of the gate: Are you sending Kyle Radke a message by sitting him in the stands? Why is Radke sitting in the stands. Are you going to sit any other players in the stands? What are you going to do to keep the gaa per game below 4 goals. Are you bringing in another goalie next season? How was the week in practice.

There wasn't one tough question and I was surprised that Tim H didn't at least say something about losing a high energy player.

Radke's benching puzzles me as well as he seems like the only dman with attitude and tenaciousness.

    You've got:

    Lee, Chorney

    Finley, Jones

    Bina, Genoway

Radke looks like the oddman out, possible Hakstol's looking for more of an offensive spark with our blueliners? Bina has chipped in with some pretty big goals the past few weeks but I like Radke over Finley right now starting on the blue line.

  4. I don't care who it is. I'd like to see Hakstol start sitting guys. No one is too important to sit for part of a game or a whole game. To correct our second period woes, if you mess up, grab a shower. If you mess up late in the 3rd. Grab a tie tomorrow night.

We've got hungry guys that want to play (at least I presume), so let's start sending messages. I don't know why Radke didn't play this weekend. Was it a message? I don't know. But whether it is Porter making a critical mistake late in a game, or Lee, or Finley, or Toews. If you screw up, you sit. We're beginning to hear a common message. "We played pretty well, but we made a couple of critical mistakes." That, and the whole second period problem. Something's gotta change.

It worked for Blais and Blake.

I'm going to pretend we're sitting Toews, Lee and Chorney for a month. ;)???:glare::)

  5. I see on that site that it says he is not sure if he is going to come next year or the year after. He says it depends on how much he improves this year. What are everyones thoughts on this? Do you think the staff is leaving open the option of getting another blue-chip forward for next year (Gregoire, Nash) and then having Bruneteau come in 08. That would be one heck of a start to the 08 class with him and Cichy.

I think Gregoire is a possibility, but would he want to play another year of juniors. Tough call

We lose 3 Seniors, and Toews and Oshie are the only guy's that could really leave. That leaves 5 forward positions. Bruneteau, Malone, Hextall, Trupp and Hamilton that could come in. Gregoire would have to be an 08 as would another defenseman if we got one.

  6. Do we really need to have the same discussion about the difference in atmosphere between the new Ralph and the old Ralph? All of the arguments are in past threads. It will never be the same as the old Ralph. But if you have thoughts about ways to improve things, please bring them up.

Exactly, we have to make it our own, except that some people look for others to cheer and make noise for them. Those people need to stay at home and watch it on TV. Far be it for me to tell someone how to spend they're time at the game when they paid for the ticket but if you're at the game CHEER not only when they score a goal.

  7. Will they even do a throwback? I think it's be cool if they did the jerseys from the 50's that Said North Dakota and had this for a logo.*

*I would like to thank Bridges for providing the link a without their tireless crusades to abolish the nickname, I wouldn't be able to find all the old super cool logos UND has had. ???

They do throwbacks every 2 years since 2001(sioux head with jersey number in the right shoulder also last game at the old ralph), 2003 was the green sioux diagonal and 2005 was this year's green star jersey. Expect the next throwback jersey's in 2007.

  8. thanks mike!!!!

thanks for drinking out of the du goalies watter bottle

thanks for beating the crap out of peluso

thanks for the 110% effort each night

thanks for the salute after the holy cross game

    good luck in the pros............................

I'm sure this has been said many times, but that fight with Peluso was one of the best.

  9. I think he'll be fine with a couple weeks rest... after all, he did skate a shift in the second period Friday night.

Funny though, Hak says no comment. Drew says no comment. But we're such rubes for information that we post anything we hear to the message board. The team likely has good reason to keep details of the injury close to the vest...

    Love your avatar...

  10. The positive is that it forces everybody to step up when you lose two of your best players. Oshie, Toews, Duncan Spirko and it looks like Zajac are all turning it up. Kozek, Watkins Kaip are starting to find their roles. We'll only get stronger as a team during and after all this.
