i dont know about you guys, but if manke does end up being the #1 guy going into next season, im very excited to see how he does. Im a big fan of the guy and think he can have a breakout season with his throwing strength and ability. He doesnt run all that bad either..... what do you guys think?

I had a chance to go to this game as well. I definitely agree with you, Stroup could be a good one for UND, he is a smart player with playmaker ability. I didn't think the West stood a chance in this game, the East just had to many good players and it showed. Good game though.

You know, i've always wondered what kind of scholarship money Ziegler has to work with. Baseball just doesn't get the recognition it deserves in my opinion. (needless to say I am an avid baseball fan) Although I keep up more with high school sports, I went to several games last year and I thought UND had a pretty solid team (pitching does need some work, who is UND's pitching coach? ) But on the level of recruiting, I read the latest article and yes Ziegler signed some players, but he's still missing one thing where his lack of scholarship money hurts him the most.....pitching. its tough to sign a stud pitcher with what he has to work with. All in all, just like you guys said, I agree Ziegler does a good job of recruiting for what he has. i was looking at their lineup and they have 2 North Dakota players of the year at short and second in Stanley and Frenzel, (great athlete my opinion) , Ross Olson,(impressive swing ) Fairchild, and Wasiloski who hit the long ball very well, and a few other decent players who can compete. You guys really know your UND sports though, I am quite impressed and enjoy reading what you guys have to say on these boards at work!!

I went to the games on saturday and it was packed. The weather was beautiful and the Sioux played well. Heston and Schlangen both pitched great games and the sioux played excellent defense all day. Frenzel made some incredible plays at second base, that kids a great athlete and really fun to watch. They took 2 wins from mankato, which is always nice. I heard they got swept the next day though, thats to bad. good luck to them the rest of the way!!!
