I have to agree. Red River is 10 times better than Williston and played 10 times better in that game. The Williston goalie single-handedly kept his team in a game they had no business being kept in and almost stole the victory. It would have been very cool had they won, but I can't say with a straight face that they were the better team in that game. They had the better goalie in that game, but that's as far as I'll go. The differential in shots on goal makes it painfully obvious who the better team was by a substantial margin.
I think it would actually be 100 wins out of 100 games for RR. The game was not even close, as you can tell by the Williston coaches comments in the Herald the next day. Still Following Hockey, you suck. I think you turned the suck knob so far you broke it.

How about the RR goalie Arnason??? i thought he had a pretty good season even with him having a good team?? I think he needs to have just as much credit as deichert if not more...

Well atleast next year at this time we wont be debating or arguing about the winner of Mr Hockey.....as long as Meland hangs out for another year!
I beg to differ.....You cannot count out the other Jr's from this year. LaDouceur, Galbreath, Arnason, Meland, and possible Siminson.

Jayden Oakland must be a really good defensive forward, because he has six points, and made the all west team. Well he would have been ahead of about two regulars on RR in points, so i guess he should be on the all-west team.

well come on, we all know how bad radke is. Well actually not all, most Sioux hockey fans like him because he tries to be tough and fight someone after every whistle, and throws his body and people and lands about one out of every 14.2 hits. Other than that hes well, not one hell of a player.

I smell upset next week. Bottineau is for real and they are going to beat Bismarck. Bottineau just lost to Minot 3-2 and I watched them, they are a good team. Now with BHS losing their leading scorer, Bottineau is going to pull off the upset.
Haha, if by good you mean terrible, then yes, they are a good team.
Perhaps you forgot, they are from the west.

Nodak, as far as i know he is not eligible. You are not able to receive an award for a year if you have minor or DUI. This may be a Grand Forks rule but i know thats what the rule is.

Through 35 minutes of play, the Minot High School boys hockey team had Grafton-Park River on the ropes, but Zach Miller came to the rescue.

I just recieved word that Red River is beating Minot 5-0 towards the end of the second period
6-0 after two. Vigen with 2 goals, adam crary, meland, schafer, adn howe, one apiece. Arnason about 20 saves.

Anybody at the Red River-Devils Lake game? Looks like a nice showing from the Firebirds against the best team in the state.
I was there and it was a good game. Red River did not have there best game, but give DL credit, (they may not have either). There were a lot of penalties, and Red River played without the Crary brothers. Devils Lake is a hard working quick team, but i think this was there best chance to beat RR. They had a 6-3 for the whole two minuets at the end.

read and think.....they all lose therefore they are all playing to win the consolation championship. Are you not playing for the state title in the first game of state??? You are playing for one goal all year, for the easterners that is first place, and for the western teams its 5th place.

Congrats to Red River on winning the EDC. Clearly the best team in the state right now. I'm looking forward to seeing them come to Minot in early February. Hopefully Minot keeps the game kind of close.

Hey people. I just wanted to know who your favortie player (from the SIOUX) this year is? I would have to say that Kyle Radke is my favorite player!!! I know that sometimes he can take a bad penelty or two, but then again so did PRPICH (everybody loves PRPICH!!)
Haha, you just like !@#!$ people or what? Radke is so bad, the weekend they got sdwept by tech was a great weekend because he didnt play.

Once again, your words hint at Bina not being there for his player. Bina not being a good enough friend or outlet for his player. If Bina is such as a harda** how come more players haven't quit? With the way their season is going this year, you would think that it would happen. Bina didn't get a whole lot of playing time going through high school because he was stuck behind Moreland, yet he did not quit, he stuck it out. Perhaps kids are just different these days as being a quitter doesn't seem to have the stigma that it once did.
BringDeanBack, can you find where someone said Bina is a hard ass to all of his players? The only thing i recall being said is what I previously stated. Bina was particularly hard on Alex, and not the rest of his team. Nothing was ever good enough for him form alex, individually picking someone out and constantly yelling and screaming at them is humiliating.

Unless you know the situation I'd avoid ripping into Simonson. Truth be told, high school coachs are supposed to be a players friend. This is not college hockey or pro hockey or Herb Brooks 1980 Olympic team (where you probably got the idea to say such a thing, "I will be your coach, I won't be your friend."). At every youth level the players are frequently told by their coachs that if they ever need anything or anyone to talk to about problems they are having in life, school, or with their girlfriend that they can talk to their coach.
As i said before, dont bash someone unless you know the circumstance. Several Central players have said that Bina was in fact a total prick to Alex in particular. He made it as if he was never doing anything good enough, fast enough, hard enough. I know that is a part of coaching, pushing the players to go harder but when you single out a KID like that, you deserve no respect.
