  1. Seriously, what's the point of even having a crease if a player can skate through it, make contact with the goalie's stick, and draw a penalty.

Isn't that supposed to be the goalie's area?

What is the actual rule on that play? I know Cepis hit Eidsness' stick and fell, as Schlossman said dove, but what is Eidsness supposed to do in that situation?

  2. VV from Gregoire! shorty

That goal was all Gregoire. The chip out of the defensive zone to the pass to VV for the goal.

He's my guess to leave after this year with the N.Y. Islanders drafting him.

  3. Thanks. So it's $355 per seat, and say for example "Varsity" level donation, an additional $330 per seat, totaling $685 per seat?

    It's $330 for the Varsity level donation, then $355/seat. 2 seats + donation =$1040

The donation is not added on to each seat purchase.

  4. If anyone is that upset about this gouging, forward the member names that have listed them on here, to the GF police. Selling tickets for more than their face value plus a small handling fee is illegal in ND.

    HOUSE BILL NO. 1058

The simple thing to do rather than calling the police is just not to buy the tickets. The prices will come down or else people will have tickets by the bunches to unload.

What people should have done is bought their tickets last week when they went on sale. Whether we were playing Minnesota or Michigan Tech, $40 for potentially 3 games is tough to pass up.

  5. Well, it's showing me the Denver/CC games, but no Sioux games. Never had a problem before. I have Time Warner Cable

What specific FCS channels are the games on both nights, I can just set it to record on those times then...

    Thanks.

My box says FCS-Central at 7:30 Friday, FCS-Central 7 on Saturday

  6. How come the games aren't showing up on FCS when I go through my guide? (I have digital cable, not satellite, and receive all 3 FCS channels)

Who is your digital cable through? Hopefully not Charter. It shows up on my digital cable box on FCSP.

  7. They had 4 games in that time slot. So a fourth of the nation would be seeing NDSU-Kansas while the rest would be aware of the game via the ticker and in-game updates.

Great math skills. Do you assume everything is equal in life? I wasn't aware that CBS spread the 4 games out equally. What happens if 40% of the nation was seeing one game, 30% the second game, 20% the third game, and only 10% the fourth.

  8. Ya, it's probably about as widely known throughout the US as the WCHA. Agreed.

Thanks for the pissing contest. Go use your own toilet.

On a serious note, I would think the WCHA has more of a name recognition than the Summit, for the simple fact of having Minnesota and Wisconsin in our conference. That's just me though.

What is the biggest known school in The Summit? Oral Roberts?

Back on topic, let's let this name process play itself out.

  9. Should the home team be allowed to dump broken glass and fire ants on the visiting team sideline? Obviously not.

So then, it's logically established: a home team should not be allowed to keep their field in whatever condition they choose.

    Seriously, think before you type.

  10. The Summit is a conference for olympic sports and basketball.

Summit membership means UND's only legitimate shot at March Madness, thus it can't (and I won't allow it to be) be removed from the discussion of the importance of UND's membership in the Summit.

Nice try at a strawman, though.

When's the last time you attended a non-revenue or Olympic sporting event at UND or NDSU for that matter?

Stop Sounding Like A Politician. Answer The Question.

  11. More like a hundred. What would the 87 team do to any of the 2000 era teams?

It depends on when the game was played, but the 87 team would beat a lot of good teams from today.

Hrkac would never put up a 100 points in a season now.

    First, seasons are shorter.

Second, goalies are better. I would say goaltending has made 10x as many strides in the last 20 years as offense has. Goaltender's also had the most area to improve in IMO.

Third, teams overall are better. From top to bottom, there is a lot more parity. A lot more quality teams and players.

  12. To the "Cleopatras", the end justifies the means. The goal was to have a bigger enrollment than UND at any cost (The end). Budgets be damned (The means).

NDSU is now paying for the means.

Oh now you play dumb after you were the one who brought the red herring up in the first place. :D

Your claim was that Chapman put NDSU into a deficit in order to get NDSU's enrollment above UND's enrollment.

I exactly refuted that by noting that a regional, undergrad school has enrollment that blows away both NDSU and UND.

    Enrollment is a non-issue.

    Nice try though.

How do you get so off track sometimes in your thoughts? The goal of NDSU, IMO, was to have the largest enrollment in North Dakota.

They accomplished that for now, but at what costs?

Comparing SCSU's enrollment to either school is dumb. They are not competing for money from the State of North Dakota.

  13. Better question is what happened to the scoring over the last twenty years? Look at the stats from the 80's and early 90's to now. First line players today would at best have been third or fourth line players before. How many of the current players today would have even made the '87 team? A couple at best.

Since it appears you're on a roll today with your posts, I'll respond to this one.

The whole game of hockey, especially in the WCHA, has changed to a defensive game. Basing your theory on stats about where certain players would compare to player's of 20 years ago is just plain dumb.

How many points would Hrkac put up in today's league? 50-60 at best in my IMO.

  14. Here's an honest question for you: what's the undergrad enrollment at Saint Cloud State University? Hmm? You know it?

    >18k. Blows away both NDSU and UND.

Is anyone in their right mind going to ever say that SCSU is on par with either NDSU or UND, in terms of academics? No. Never. Both ND flagships are light years ahead of the MN state school both in terms of quality of education as well as research.

But thanks for bringing up yet another red herring attempt to trash Chapman. :D

What does SCSU's enrollment have to do with UND or NDSU?

    Think. Before. Type.

  15. I suppose there's little chance either of these games will be on TV. (I don't think games from St. Cloud ever are locally.)

Off Topic, But the SCSU games will be on Charter local cable if you live in MN and are silly enough to use their cable services like me. :D
