In an overall sports world, no. They are FCS in football and a low level mid major in basketball, etc. Michigan and the rest of the Big Ten along with Boston College and BU are going to get the first look at the top players with the $ they can fork over. Menghini is a solid get, but they don’t have a 1st or 2nd line center on the roster. Doesn’t seem like the high end CHL names gain any traction after being linked to UND. I’m weary that they will have to slot centers up or play others out of position

I said it’s a gut feeling. I predict they won’t find any high end difference makers from the portal and the high end CHL players will choose big name schools. There’s just no traction on where this team is going to find talent and it’s odd

Gut feeling. It’s going to be a rough year offensively in 25-26. The D and goaltending is going to carry this team as far as they go.

Might as well stick around there for another year. I don’t know if ferschwiler gets an NHL look this offseason as Carle is still higher on the totem pole, but him and Pandolfo are next. Best chance for him at taking over a high level program is by staying put.

Yep. Gonna need to find a high end CHL guy to fill the 1st line center spot unless Chyzyk can pull some strings through 3rd party channels to get a transfer. As for the portal now, there’s still options for some depth veterans which I think they could use a couple of for the bottom 2 lines
