I'm guessing that 7 was a typo and was meant to be a 6 because there is absolutely no chance Morgan is getting even remotely close to that amount from Nebraska.
Correct.
I'm honestly thinking it's probably less than that even... I'm thinking 50K-80K

On WCCO last night Mike Max said Payne from gophers is gonna get $700k+ somewhere else. Also hinted the SU big man is approaching 7 figures but wasn’t definite on that. Looks like he went to Nebraska.
I don't know for certain... but I would be floored if this is close to true.

Tyree. Had a great half season at UND now collecting some dollars. Tyree really helps us and he helped himself. New world in the portal. One year plan is what is all about. NCAA screwed everybody.
Would love to see the numbers- Mason Walters reportedly got 40K from Wyoming- Does Wyoming have enough to fork over more and how much more??? My guess is less than 100K

When’s the dead period done? Friday? I’m anxious to hear more on Hurlburt and Moni and even Panoam.
Ends tomorrow at noon

Would think they’d be looking to only land one of Hurlburt and Moni, right? I guess if both come, great, but they seem a bit redundant in playing style. I could be wrong. Hurlburt having 3 years of eligibility is intriguing but also in todays world it’s all 1 year deals.
Yeah, I don't think they get both
-
So hypothetically we have 2 left to give out... with 3 potential targets from what it looks like from the outside:
Mier Panoam, Hurlburt, and Moni
No idea what Hurlburt's recruitment will look like, Moni will be a hard get, Panoam is talented (I think), but not sure how he fits in with current roster- He seems like he's comparable to Eli King.
Current Roster:
1's- Thomas
wings- Eaglestaff, King, Mara, Kraft, Doppler
4's- Mayar, Woodson, Bothun
5's Amar, Mathews, Erikson
I thought King would be able to provide some PG minutes, but I was wrong

Really like the signing of the Woodson kid... 6'7 lefty that has can shoot it... his stroke looks really pure from the little clips I saw. Has good size and his game should translate well to the Summit League..

Need to just have a graphic design student hop on as a student manager. Or there has to be some way to partner with a cooperative work experience class or something
Sometimes guys make their own graphics... this could be one of those.

We need to figure out our graphic situation. Not a good look.
yeah, that's what's important

BJ is visiting or has visited Oregon St and Cal.
I would be surprised if Minnesota is an option, but I could be wrong.

Tyler Junior College. Looks like we are his only known offer. I think @SD UNDmentioned McNeese State was looking at him.
Think he is visiting today. NCAA dead period starts tomorrow and runs until the 11th I believe

I’ve been waiting for this one. Don’t know if he will end up here but it would make sense.
Who woulda ever thought this kid would get in the portal from Colorado.. I, for one, am SHOCKED
-
Hoops other theory still holds true as well... UND in fact did kick him off the team for having a child.

Maybe BJ just isn’t sharing with media outlets, which I respect, but I find it interesting we haven’t heard a word about who’s reaching out to him.
My guess he ends up at a place like Cal or Oregon St.

Real excited to play him at least twice next year…..
I hope he goes to UTEP, then we KNOW he's full of sh**

But that is my point. Let him go to UMary for two years. Pick him up on the last two years. If he doesnt work out it was UMary's problem. There is not need to take risks on projects. Look what Tyree and Bruns did. Took a chance on them and they both bolted. It has to work both ways.
You can't take 13 guys out of the portal every year- you still need to have guys that you build up and develop.
-
Wouldn't give up on Erikson... never know with big guys... he does have the ability to stretch the floor... while he may never be an all league player, he might be able to carve out a role in the future... and I was very down on this kid coming out of high school. Reports are that he has had a good freshman year. Not sure if he's ready next year, but I don't think he will be a complete dud.

Maybe I am being petty here, but I am seeing all these nice good byes from some of the kids entering the portal. Thanking the schools and fans for the their support. UND seems to never get these heartfelt good byes from the players entering the portal. Nothing from BJ or Tyree. If anyone should have one would be Tyree. Both SDSU players sent out really nice thank yous. As a fan it helps knowing that they enjoyed their time here but just moving on to better things. When players like BJ and Tyree say nothing its like they are ungrateful. I remember Paul Bruns never did it either, made me dislike him more. Ok maybe making to much out this. Or maybe its somewhere other then twitter and I am just not seeing it.
Sather should be fired for not being thanked after guys leave, IMO

I'm hearing that the Drake job is a real possibility for Hendo. Something to keep an eye on.
Phenomenal reporting. Who could have connected those dots

Would be a nice get-
Supposedly hearing from multiple schools- McNeese St... so it might be tough unless everyone cools off on him
-
I bet Rohde is having fun tonight

I could see how he could be happy with that role. Go to a team that has won the national championship and been a #1 seed multiple times in the last 5ish years (although the 1 seed didnt work out against UMBC lol). Everyone needs to have a role on a winning team and can’t average 10+ points. If he is happy with a lesser role in order to try and win I can respect that.
Fair enough, you guys like player freedom and social media hype in recruiting, I like loyalty and miss that aspect of college sports. Unfortunately, loyalty is dead in college athletics, which makes the product less entertaining.

Minnesota's top NIL earner last year was Dawson Garcia at 65K... you're telling me that they offered Morgan 35K more than him?
I just don't think Andrew Morgan is worth 200K... wow
