  1. Actually, 2 out of 3 aint bad, according to Meatloaf, so 4 out of 5 must be great. Now to eliminate Denver which would be most excellent indeed... Go Sioux!!!
  2. If you look closely, the Denver 2004 National Championship banner clearly said Sioux on it originally. They owe us one banner so I am hereby claiming the 2005 banner for the Fighting Sioux... Besides, we will have more than earned it in the next 24 hours...
  3. Denver stole our #8 banner last year. Saturday night we take it back!
  4. The job of a coach is to get the most out of the talent they have at their disposal. Flip Saunders found this out with the Timberwolves. He is a great coach but could not get the most out of the the talent he had on this years Timberwolves team. That failure should have landed on the players but Saunders was dismissed and McHale will now see if he can get the Wolves to play up to their potential of winning an NBA championship. In the same way, the Sioux have way more potential than being an also-ran in the WCHA. I do not attend practices, but UND is far more talented than their current standing, and while that may be on the players, it is the coaches responsibility to bring it out of them. Coach Hakstol is responsible for getting this team to play up to or exceed their potential, not blame losses on bounces of the puck. Dean Blaise even commented on the players playing with no heart last weekend. Coach Hakstol needs to address this issue. They have the talent necessary already.
  5. I ran into Dean Blaise between periods at the Denver series last weekend and he said that Denver played with no class and the Sioux played with no heart. We have so much more talent than our win total shows.
  6. Odds of favorites to win the 2005 ND State Championship: 1. Fargo South. Clearly the class of this years class. 2. Grafton/PR. Beat South early and took them to 2OT tonight. Also historically the greatest overachievers at the state tourney. 3. Minot. Only west team ever to win state. If Dean Blaise had stayed there they would have a bunch by now.
