  1. I like the Force campaign......and I don't think it's a conspiracy to change the name. Name's not changing.
  2. I'm picturing something like Will Ferill on American Pride day at work.......
  3. Link Sounds like a good idea to me. *wears green everyday*
  4. A WCHA team has won every DI Women's National Championship....it's, hands down, the toughest league in the nation. Finishing the season in the top half of the WCHA would be one hell of an accomplishment and something to rest your hat on, and to build a young program on. I guess what I like about having a young team is- that no one can tell them what teams they can or cannot beat. Hit the ice and believe that you can win every game, work your ass off and you will be successful. That is all.
  5. I think you quoted the wrong post......and the person that I believe you should have quoted was replying to someone asking whether or not they were kidding about RPI being in Canada.
  6. Very cool. Thanks for the info.
  7. Here's hoping that the same thing that happened at Northern Iowa before the game happens at Wisconsin......and the banner topples to the ice. *snickers*
  8. You could see the avatar walking over to pick up a puck on the highlights that they showed for the women's team on Sioux Sports tonight.
  9. They announced it near the end of the game. Auction was held at the customer service desk.
  10. Hell yeah! Go Sioux! Add Volleyball and Men's and Women's Cross County to that list too!
  11. They had a ten minute auction after the game for his Frozen Four game worn last night. It was at $250 when we walked by.
  12. Does anyone know what the Lee jersey went for last night?
  13. I just listened today. It seemed to be a good broadcast, but the only thing I have to go on is that when I have listened in the past, it's been off of a feed from an opposing team's website.........so this was better. The announcers were very impressed with Porter's goal, apparently it was a great move.
  14. Aw, they're just jealous.
  15. I hope you are as correct on this one as you were against Winona.
  16. I like that I was able to listen to the game this afternoon. I should have driven into Forks to watch it, but this weekend was a long one and I've been sitting around all day. Maybe having the broadcasts available will help generate interest in the women's team......the 2-0 start doesn't hurt either. Next week is at the always tough Duluth. Last season, the Sioux upset the Bulldogs 2-0 on the road.
  17. Sioux get the sweep! Congrats, ladies.
  18. North Dakota goes up 3-2 in the third on the unassisted goal by #24 Jenny Porter.....the little sister of #24 Chris Porter. 6 minutes to go. EDITED TO ADD- A. Allen and Cook credited with the assists.
  19. Sioux win their home opener against RPI. They're down 1-2 with 8:52 to go in the second period of the second game.
  20. The avatar and I were in 302 on Friday night. Row B.
  21. Well, la dee freaking da. Let's all move on now....... Go Sioux!!!!!
  22. The Trinity sounds good to me.
  23. We had crappy seats yesterday- which I wouldn't have minded- and, yes it was my fault cause I didn't pick them up until Thursday......BUT something happened that really wrecked the game for us and I'm still a little upset by it. We sat down, and were there for all of two minutes, and the jerk in front of us turned around and barked at the avatar, because she accidentally kicked the back of his seat with her little flip flop. Okay, she's a kid, she told me that she only did it once and it was an accident. Mr. HockeyMom missed it because he was two seats down from her, and he said when we were discussing it in the car after the game that he would have let the jerk have it had he seen or heard him. The seats in the Alerus Center suck, and if someone on the end of the row moves, you can feel it several seats away. When the game got a little boring, this fat ass decided to sprawl out, put his arm on the top of the two seats on each side of him and then put his stinky work boots over the seats in front of him-now taking up four seats. Worse yet, a woman sat down in the seat beside his boot, did he move it? Hell no. He sat there like a fat lazy blob and I didn't see him cheer once. I apologize for the rant, but if you're going to go to the game and act like this......don't even go. My kids don't run around at games, they sit and watch and cheer. They don't need to be barked at because of a foot to the back of the seat. Thank you, that is all.
