You know what else kids are looking for? A bigger opportunity and role. You tell them we have a roster full of d2 guys. If you come here you have 20 shots a game coming your way. Show them Marlon Stewart’s tape. Led conference in points and assists under Sather. Hundreds of kids in the portal would love to have that opportunity

To say we struggled to score the ball last year is an understatement. We couldn’t find 1 of the 1,000 d1 players in the portal and have them replace x,y, and z from last years roster. That’s the frustrating thing for me, several guys should have been told good luck at your new d2 home. Instead it looks like we’ll have to put up with the same stuff as last year. The only thing that can save the season for me is if we just give the freshman all the minutes they want and pray they develop some jump shots and we can retain them for 4 years

We were rebuilding Sather’s first year when we had a roster of only 5 guys getting minutes. We were rebuilding the next year and had a worse roster. We were rebuilding last year and were the 350th best team in d1 basketball. Rebuilding again this year (still like the young guys a lot and think they can be good). It’s just getting old. Get into the portal and bring in some guys that can actually play

It’s been an embarrassing 2 years and 3 games for UND basketball…

Someone let Sather know his half court offense is terrible. Generates zero good looks

This is not just about this game. This is moving forward. Team cannot consistently generate good looks in the half court. Only time we have under Sather is when Marlon was here to bail him out

Would like to see us play a little more uptempo. No one on the team can generate a shot in the half court and I’ve never felt like Sathers offense has consistently generated good shots

Never been a big Nero fan but what did he do to fall so far out of the rotation?

We look rough offensively. Some guard is going to have to step up and become a go to guy

I don’t understand how we lose 3 of our top 4 DBs in the offseason and don’t go into the portal and get one if not 2 guys. Didn’t make sense in May and it still doesn’t make sense in November!

Mitchell best player on floor. None of the young guys have really stood out or flashed much. Talent is there so they’ll get it figured out

Trent has some ridiculously long arms. Looks like a guy that could sit down and guard 94 feet. No idea why he hasn’t played, he was in warmups

He definitely showed he had some playmaking in high school. Didn’t think that would be his primary position early in college
