    Best for dae

sorry but After hearing all the good things about him coming in I wasn’t very  impressed

He broke the freshman savoring record. Assuming he was hurt this year like I’ve read everywhere, he was pretty impressive.

Lol...just stop dude.  If a coach literally asks a kid to leave, there is a really good reason why.

Everyone has their reasons...but moody was a kid with three years of eligibility to go who averaged 10 as a frosh. No brainer Someone we would like to have back. I wish him the best though.

If you get "defense or whatever" then you should understand that when you consistently give up more points than you are responsible for helping the team score....well, that's bad. Not arguing his shooting ability but particularly in Sather's system, you need to be able to play some defense.

He did not handle his injury in the way they he should of and members of his "inner circle" weren't shy about their opinions with commentary about the program. I feel like Sather has been pretty clear in his expectations and is also fair with people about them.

Best of luck to him, having ND kids do well is always good for the University and the team but parting ways was the correct decision for both sides. Hopefully he grows from this and does well at SUU.

Name someone else who you know is a sure fire thing to put the ball in the basket on this team on our current roster then please.

This.  The team will be just fine without him.  Best of luck to Aanen at SUU.

I think we all forget moody was a double figure guy as a freshman...I get defense or whatever but Dae averaged about 14 and so did Rebrača. We couldn’t have used more scoring-shooting? We easily could have. I don’t think you guys are looking at this for what it is, we will miss Aanen. I felt like we missed him last year as well

    Eady
    Freshman - 20.1 minutes  / 6.5 points / 2.3 rebounds / 0.8 assists / 1.21 assists:turnover
    Sophomore - 26.4 minutes / 6.7 points / 3.9 rebounds / 1.4 assists / 1.6 assists:turnover

    Griesel:
    Freshman - 20.1 minutes  / 6.5 points / 2.3 rebounds / 0.8 assists / 1.21 assists:turnover
    Sophomore - 26.4 minutes / 6.7 points / 3.9 rebounds / 1.4 assists / 1.6 assists:turnover

    DAE:
    Freshman - 29.3 minutes  / 13.3 points / 4.5 rebounds / 1.1 assists / 0.5 assists:turnover

Eikens needs to work on taking care of the ball, that is no secret. Other than that, I don't really see anything that make me think Eady and Griesel would be an easy choice to pick over Eikens (also probably fair to note was coming off a fairly serious leg injury). Neither Eady or Griesel took any sort of noticeable leap between their freshman and sophomore year, it remains to be seen what their ceiling could be and also what kind of improvement DAE shows heading into his second year.

I think comparing DAE to Hooker is a stretch. Hooker was a really good to great player in a mid-major conference that could single handily lead a team to a championship. DAE has a loooonnngggg way to go to reach that level. You need to build around Rebraca the next 2 years. I was kind of wishing NDSU had gotten DAE before the season started. I think I would take Eady and Griesel over him.

DAE averaged 14 and 5 as a frosh...Hooker averaged 4 as a frosh and 12 as a sophomore. I say we just see how the kid develops whether we like it or not he had one of the best freshman years in the schools history, and forsure the best one in the d-1 era

Although they have different games and styles, I'm looking at DAE similar to Quinton Hooker.  I knew QH in high school, and was really excited when he chose UND.  After his true freshmen year there were some rumblings that he was already a bust and overrated, etc.  But starting year 2 with more time in the program he really came into his own and is one of the all time greats.  DAE had his struggles as a freshman, but I think he has all the tools to really bring it all together starting in year 2 and I'm really looking forward to seeing him develop.

I'm in agreement with everyone above - DAE and Rebraca are big pieces moving forward, but we really need to replace Stewart and get some more pieces/depth to really be a team that will make some noise.  I'm going to guess in two years Sather will have this team in a really good position.

Yes DAE had his struggles...but he broke the freshman scoring record last night. I think he carried his load this year. I do think he can be a lot better though

I took a look back and compare his numbers to Huff's freshman year numbers.  They are very similar in a lot of areas.  Expect in free throw percentage, where DAE has Huff beat easily

That is the one thing he hasn't had this year is that big 25+ point, 7-8 rebound game.  He's had moments where he has taken over but hasn't had that one big game.

I like a lot about his game and I think an offseason with Sather and him not recovering from an injury could lead to a big year next year.

I'd say #1 is to remake his shot or try and improve his mechanics.  Improving his numbers from 3 should be a priority.

DAE averages 14 and 5 as a frosh in the d-1 era... I don’t know what the problem is here. Should work on his three though!
