Making the logo more visible on campus is important. And it is even more important at UND sporting events. And is even more important at the most high profile sport at UND. I am not saying that the logo has to be front and center on the jersey. On the shoulders is fine. Having a jersey that actually says "Hawks" on it would be great. Were fans proud of the Sioux name? Absolutely. Can you be proud of the Sioux name and also be proud of the Hawks name? Yes. The University, the REA and its athletic teams need to be proud of its name and what it represents. And that is the University of North Dakota, the school that they play their heart out for every night.
Love the passion! But at the same time don’t care. We are suppose to be taking about what WE think they will look like or what WE hope they will look like. Not the people we suspect have a say in what little things can and can not be on the jerseys. Who cares who pays for them or gets to place what design where. Everyone of these threads starts out fun and enjoyable to read. Until somebody brings up all the political bull crap.

Reminds me of the Patriots. Apparently the logo on the helmet isn't enough to help you know what team he's on, Brady needs Elvis Presley the Patriot on each of his shoulders too:

I agree with you. But at the same time a prick attitude is what this team needs. Just go on YouTube and watch some of the final fives and games against our old wcha foes. We were a hard nosed prick team that won a lot of games. I’m sure at some point someone said Blais was a prick before he came to UND and now he’s one of our heroes.

So since we all agree that the hawks logo is terrible and shouldn’t be on the front of the jersey. Except for the few people in here pushing for the hawks logo, who are probably more football fans(doesn’t count) anyway. What about NORTH DAKOTA, but both words slanting or just three large letters, UND slanting or horizontal with a number below?

I’m hoping for something similar to the Dallas Stars jersey with anything other then the hawks logo on the chest. I’m ok with it on the shoulders but not the chest. Maybe an interlocking ND on the front or even HAWKS slanted down similar to the SIOUX jerseys they wore this year during the exhibition. Anything but the awful logo. I won’t really like to see the third set of black jerseys with a slanted NODAK on them. Not sure if that’s allowed though.

Will this be the first year the hockey team wears Adidas sweaters? If so, or even if not, any idea what they could possibly look like. Anything information on them leaked yet.

I’m guessing a complete over haul is out of the question. So who do you keep and who do you fire. Are the position coaches doing their job? Is it just the head coach, OC and DC not are not up to par. I believe all coaches put in the time and the effort, but they just don’t have that “it” factor. So lay it out. Who’s stays? Who goes? Asking for a friend.

Pretty sure the national hockey powers look at UND as a threat each year. UND isn’t even in the realm of the national football powers for them to even know who UND is.

Just going in my previous posts. Not finding where I mentioned Bemidji. Good job though. Point is, football can’t expect any more money or any other sport for that matter. When they start bring in the revenue that the hockey team does, then they can complain. But if they do start bringing in that kind of revenue, then they should actually have to spread it out like the revenue from hockey.

Nothing wrong with NCAA hockey, but don’t bash FCS DI football or NCAA basketball over the medicore at best sport of NCAA ice hockey. UND needs to expand funding to other sports not played on ice immediately.
