  1. Draw on 3rd and 10
  2. Zimmerman needs to transfer. Needs receivers that can catch.
  3. How in the hell do you move under center on 3rd and 2 to completely telegraph what yourr going to do. Worst possible play call.
  4. Big start
  5. This could be a defining drive. If Zimmerman takes them down the field and scores, is he the guy?
  6. Zimmerman with another big time throw. Is there a QB controversy brewing?
  7. Defense got a stop. Still hope.
  8. Targeting call. Guy was trying to bat down a pass but did more than he had to.
  9. Ale: 12-16, 258 yrs. 4th string?
  10. Uh oh
  11. TV broadcast reported that Studs said he was fine. Then Zimmerman threw the RD pass, then Studs met with trainers again, and now likely won't return.
  12. Zimmerman didn't have any trouble. Maybe Studs can stay on the bench
  13. I like to use three unarguable statements when refuting points on message boards. 1) Brad Heidelbaugh is no Carson Wentz, and we all knew that. 2) Success at 1A Rugby is not success at 3A Century, and we all knew that. 3) ND kids were drafted before Wentz, and that didn't stop schools from making promises it had no intention of keeping, and we all know that. And not kin here, either. Just an observer that loves watching good kids get the shaft when Faith Dooley is the most successful ND athlete playing at UND.
  14. Heidelbaugh is a classic example of the DIs screwing a kid over for marketing. He led Rugby to a state basketball title against a heavily favored Four Winds team. Shot the ball from all over the floor. Could have had s solid DII career with a scholarship. UND needs to convince donors and legislators that ND kids can still play here, so the convince Heidelbaugh to toss his basketball career for a walk on shot. He's there only for window dressing. It's bull, and we all know it. Some of it is on him, or whomever convinced him what UND was selling wad legit. But UND doesn't go get two more options at QB if they are committed. They wrecked a kids career.
  15. So, the question has to be asked: Were the expectations too high in the first place? Injuries matter, but giving up 650 yards to Davis, coupled with the first three-year stretch of giving up 45 or more in SCHOOL HISTORY can't be explained by just injury alone, especially when Montana State was picked 8th in the league, and Davis was picked 11th, and you had one of those games at home. I remember last August the narrative started that it was UNDs year, in part, because they didn't play Montana or Eastern Washington. When the won the league, that conversation vanished, and was not to be found in the preseason this year. Had they played those two teams with last year's team, what would the season looked like? Conference title? Home playoff game? Road playoff game? I tend to think they would have made the postseason, but beyond that, I think it's a bit more cloudy. They won a ton of close games last year. Without the talk of conference titles last year, and without a home playoff game, maybe this season would make more sense after 13 starters go down. It wouldn't feel any better, but it might be better understood. Just another dude's $0.02
