I have to say I could really careless what number he wears in the pros. I am still pretty pissed off about the way the season ended. I know it would be hard to turn down that kind of money but IMO he bailed on the team awfully quickly. I have to say in reading on POI where Ballard said he is not going to pursue turning pro early. I found that to be refreshing. Does that mean he won't leave this summer? No, but it gives me the impression of more loyalty to the program. Ballard was a higher pick than Parise and is at least very close to Parise in talent. As much as I dislike Ballard I have to give him props on this one.
like we all didn't know that this was a strong possibility that he would leave early. hell, there was talk that he may have left afer his freshman year. zach is one of the best players to ever wear a uniform for the sioux and theres nothing wrong with as you call it "BAILING" for the pros at all. thats what the ultimate goal is for most players going to a top program and he is ready so why not! he has a chance to play in the fricken stanley cup playoffs and thats rare for a college player coming right out of his college season. good luck to zach and thanks for the 200% he gave every day he wore the sioux uniform!!!!!!!!

We may never know unless he comes out with a tell-all autobiography after his playing days. Frankly, I don't give a rat's as* now that he's gone. I'm still in the anger stage of the grieving process. But at the same time, I do wish him all the luck for a successful pro career--he's a class act & deserves the best.
I am just as saddened by this as all others are. We will be OK as a team.. Kepp reloading is the name of the game at UND... Zach was great and a pleasure to watch every weekend. I think he made the right decision .. he is ready for the NHL and hope to see him play tuesday night againast the rangers.. He is a rare person and player. He gave it all 200%% every weekend for the Sioux and i respect that so much. Its been a tough weekend overall but in the long run I hope everything works for Zach in the near future and many years to come. GO SIOUX!!!!!!!!!

Ironically, speaking of Zach and Paulie Martin, they could be playing together soon (along with former Gopher Erik Rasmussen and Duluth boy Jamie Langenbrunner). Don't the Devils still have the rights to Parise?

Expect the Alumni Association to throw something either before or after the games. Though with this being in CO, not sure if something will go on. I know they always do something in the Cities and the 2000 and 2001 Frozen Fours.

I have never seen one on ebay. You can hardly ever find a real UND jersey on Ebay. A Palmiscno one just ended yesterday and that was the first I had seen in a while.
I'm still happy that I got one from the last game at the old Engelstad. They are very dificult to get because those who have them rarely want to sell them. I'll never sell mine.
i have seen the old geometric logo a bunch on ebay. i won one for cheap the old style that just says north dakota in black with the jersey being green with black and white stripes. i also almost won one that was from a ways back with it being white and saying sioux across diagonally in green old drawstrings that were faded,this was a great throwback. it was authentic and about 25 years old. those are the only 2 retro jerseys i have seen on ebay in the last couple of years. i do have a old blackhawk green one that my grnadpa got me when i was six. holding on to that 4ever.. i have all sioux jerseys and they are such a great collector item because the old ones are so rare to get...

I ended up with 2 extra packages for this weekends games in colorado springs.. They are for all 3 games. just off center ice upper level (section 207 row L seats 17,18) will be in c springs fri morning to arrange pick up around the arena area..

My first post on the boards!!!!!
Both my wife and I will be making the treck down from Cheyenne, WY. And, as luck would have it, I won a bidding war on my tickets on EBAY. Paid a bit over face but we will be sitting in the front row...it is worth it!! My wife actually doesnt have a jersey so she is having one overnighted from the Forks!! LOL
If tickets are still sparse...I know that ticketswest has changed there price levels to reflect the low availability...there are still some for sale on EBAY....just a thought!!
I hope we have a great turnout...I have gone to one game of the UND-Denver series each of the last two years and it is a trip...there are almost as many Sioux fans as there are Denver fans....it is especially evident in the National Anthem...*ahem*....

Looks like three of us are coming down from Ft. Collins on Saturday (I hope I don't jinx the friday game!).... 2 hour drive.
How would you say the ticket opportunities are? I'm cheering against Denver...not that I care who we play...I just want a better shot at buying tickets.. Any suggestions beforehand?

I'll be there. Traveling from . . . . . Colorado Springs. From games against CC and Denver, UND has a good following out here. Hopefully we can make them feel right at home.

Just curious on who will be making the trip to colorado and what state you are traveling from.. One of the best things about Sioux Hockey is the following they get from the fans all over the country no matter where they play. I love seeing the crowds!!!!

Yes, actually RTO sullivans is the place that carries every sioux game for us fans out here to watch.. its in mesa.. we get about 95% of the games and i am sure they will have the games on this weekend for sure. this sports bar sections off a areas only to watch the sioux game which is pretty cool for us fans.

Gophers got by far the toughest region. I hope Duluth is back to full strenght. Heard that Lessard was hurt in the AA game. Wisconsin has to like their draw. Sioux will likely face a pro DU crowd should the two met on Saturday.
My guess is that JPar plays Friday and Brandt on Saturday. Anyone know if Sioux get early or late game on Friday?
it says on espn that sioux play the 5:30 game because denver will get the late game at (home) just like the final five with minn.. can't wait to get out their from AZ got some glass seats and am pumped!!!!!!!!!!

Can't wait for this one. what a way its been setup for the championship !! 2 talented teams going head to head. I think both teams have palymakers when talking about vanek and parise. 2 talented freshman with brady and ryan p.. i believe the sioux have even more talented freshman in the long run.. stafford jordan, smaby and porter who are key role players out there.. i believe the difference is goaltending. i like our chances in any type of game that happens weather its fast or tight checking.. jake or jordan will win the game tonight the way i look at it.. i hope thats what happens anyway.. no injuries and lets move on to COLORADO SPRINGS next weekend.... we will pack rto sullivans tonight in AZ to watch the sioux win!!!!!!!!! 4-2 SIOUX

as long as the fighting sioux sports network picks it up somehow we can watch in AZ at rto sullivans in mesa.. they get the old sattelite feeds for about every game they play..hope thats what happens because i will be pissed if i have to watch it on webcast as long as the other hundred people that go their to watch....
