Parise may wear the C, Toews maybe an A? They will announce Team USA after the conclusion of the winter classic game today. Oshie seems to have a great chance on making the squad! Would be cool to have those former 3 skating in Sochi.

That would be great! I can see the importance of why they are playing up there. I think macmillins and stecher are from that area. Can't remember if there are others?? Can't hurt recruiting wise, just stay healthy! Maybe we will see the third goalie

Me either mid season. The annual beating of the bison is enough exh for a season. There isn't another sport that does this I can think of besides soccer in a way.

2 games in Burnaby, British Columbia this weekend. Both games 9pm central start Stay healthy I'm sure we will know on UND injury updates Wednesday. Hope the time off was good for some of the guys who needed it! Anyone from that area going to these games? What type of arena are they playing in? Small barn or one of these schools rinks? I think Princeton is playing both schools as well. Would be nice if Princeton was one if the games so it counts. Are these two games part of that 2 extra game exemption rule every so many years or can you play as many exh games as you like in a season? He's great in all facets of the game! Amazing two way player and come to think every high end former sioux forward plays 5on5, pk and pp in the NHL. Parise, Oshie, Toews, zajac...frattin has as well early in his career and I'm sure Nelson will increase his role come next season Toews is a very very rare circumstance when it comes to elite Canada prospects landing in the states for college puck. Not sure if we see that again with any school landing a elite Canadian talent. Would take a rare breed I guess like Johnny.

What's the overall feeling on the hockey academy they have at the Ralph? Has it increased the amount of local d1 recruits or are we just in a time right now with very good and some great local talent? Thanks to anyone in the know. Who runs coaches in the academy? Former players? Last questions, is it attracting out of state talent as well? Like camps ect and will this lead to a midget team possibly in GF?

The team the next few years will have tons of local guys. Can't remember a sioux team with so many local/minny players. @SchlossmanGF: Simonson is the fourth member of the 2010 state title Central team to go D-I, third to UND. Others: LaDue, LJohnson and Casey Purpur (NMU).

What type of team will USA take with Donny running the show? Most all college with a few MJ guys? No UND players this year, that will change more than likely next year for team USA. UND gained some ground back in the pairwise. Overall record is now 7-7-2 and 5-5-0-0 in the NCHC. Sweep Northern Michigan. Go Sioux! NMU 6-8-2 overall 4-5-1 WCHA Winless in last four games...swept by Mankato last weekend and a loss and tie previous weekend vs ferris state. Split with UNO, swept by UW and tied and loss to western mich.
