the sioux did drop 4 goals on CC and bachman in the final 5 last year just looking for positives he did hold the sioux to 1 goal in grand forks in the only other previous meeting when he played but who cares about that game

Finley has returned to practice, though. Hakstol also praised the chemistry between Evan Trupp and Jason Gregoire. Those two played on the second power-play unit together, combining for a pair of goals. On Friday, they teammed for the game-winner with Trupp feeding Gregoire for the power-play goal. On Saturday, they got a goal to fall just after a power play expired. It wouldn't be a surprise to see these two on a line together this weekend. Hakstol said he believes the freshmen defensemen -- Ben Blood and Corey Fienhage -- are coming along all right. He said that we've all seen "the good, the bad and the ugly" with them, but said that they were "thrown into the fire" and have had to play against opponent's top lines.... not an easy thing to do for rookie defensemen.

agreee on the kozek and jones PP jones shouldnt ever be on the PP but it is crazy not to have kozek on the PP, with his shot. no way he sholdnt be on the 1st unit let alone 2nd unit. the thing that makes me wonder sometime of hak is he can put miller on the 1st line one night then a healthy scratch the next night. its either all or nothing with some players. im not questioning hak at all as hes a hell of a coach and i dont really know much but there are a few head scratchers and it starts with kozek and jones regarding the PP

i always say split on the road in the WCHA but if you win friday then that theory is out the window then it is sweep time. if the sioux grab 2 points in the springs that will be nice. was thinking of heading to the springs for these games but i dont think its gona happen. oh well. go sioux. hope big joe is back in the lineup

it is lapoint as hes a wisconsin guy all d men have to step their game up. jones is the only player that can hold his own one on one and he is damn good at it. would be nice to see lapoint and marto get some points on the board with genoway as well but the whole team is struggling to score, not just d men i guess they all break out in the springs
