Definitely some messy play but hell of a win! Saunders was as solid as it get first couple periods. We played a nice third period! Great move by Danny. Exactly.wtf is right!! They both should be on somewhere! NBCsports or NHL network. I watched the whl ohl and qmjhl vs Russia last couple weeks! With no NHL they should fill weeken nights with major junior and NCAA hockey. They have picked up feeds in the past on NHL net

Unless they play in post season between now and 2017 the rivalry will be on the low burner. If you think about it the team that will be lacing the skates up 5 years from now possibly may not face Minnesota at all. Of course the fans will always feel how they do but the overall rivalry will be much different an not in a good way. How about a NCAA title game this year? That could keep the rivalry on fire! Well literally in dinkytown perhaps.

Media day @SchlossmanGF: Michael Parks will travel to South Bend this weekend, but will not play. Still week to week.

This rivalry shouldn't ever take a year or two off. It would have became even bigger with the anticipated 1 series per year between both teams and fan bases. There is nothing better to me at least than sitting in mariucci or the Ralph or the X while these 2 teams battle away. That being said the ralph has 11,000 people plus per game attending and it doesn't matter if it's vs the gophs or st cloud st. Just sucks the rivalry is on a hiatus

I have no prob with black being 3rd option but not with these new jerseys. Not even close. Once they figure out a better design hope they can get back to that Kelly green! The 97 was the last title team to wear green breezers and helmets right? I was in providence and remember black jerseys/helmets being introduced that year or the year before?? I love the black and agree a different style in black would be awesome for a 3rd option. Just can't stand the new green color/style combos

They will figure it out and yes I noticed a few times this weekend where they waited a long time behind the net then came confusion. Notre dame has some high end talent in lee, lucia, johns ect...keep that puck moving! I'm guessing same line up as sat unless parks is in then chyzk may sit. I'm not sure what he does in net but will guess Saunders fri and Zane sat.

They look very blah and the brand doesnt matter but yes they do. Obviously they are replacing the Sioux head decals but you would think they would be in by now or soon. The blacks blow away the green jerseys while we are on topic for road games. Go white and black as the greens have taken a big step back.

Last week it was noticeable as they were taking forever to make that first pass and when they did it seemed like it didn't connect much. Just let Rocco skate it in everytime he's out there He gets so low and is so fast not many can touch him. Look forward to these games and I wonder of each goalie gets a crack? If Notre dame was to join new conference they could have had a ND riavlry trophy with each others ND on each side.
