Cripes, one bad game and everyone is declaring the season over. You guys need to take a pill and lie down. This will motivate the boys to prevent this from ever happening again. I think we'll see a much different team tonight.

Not everyone…..think virtual hugs are needed as well for those on the ledge. Can’t argue them down. HG missed out on buying a vowel. :p

    #NeverForget

Definitely watching this every day this week...

Awesome snipe show by the boys that night. Thanks for posting. Our fans always show up at DU. They were so loud & the look on pio fans faces was precious!

I think folks are forgetting what the 5x5 OT's used to look like.  The vast majority of the time, both teams were more than happy to take the tie and get their pt.  I recall walking out of the WSC after ties and it's an odd feeling. The fear of losing the pt outweighed taking chances to gain a pt.  I don't have a grand solution outside just calling the game a tie after regulations, but nobody likes a tie.  I don't see why having 4x4 instead of 3x3 is any less gimmicky, and there is some merit to having the game played the same way it is at the next level.

That’s a good point. However, IMHO, since NCAA hockey mimics the NHL gimmick rules it will only change if/when the NHL does so. Keep the faith as the sport continues growing at all levels.

I missed being able to watch most of the game and I noticed the clowns didn't get a single penalty. Did they get away with stuff or did they genuinely play clean?

We saw some non calls, nothing egregious but warranted as a make up call(s) for the weak ones we had to kill

Makes sense to me. Gaber needs a skilled center man to get him the puck (checkmark for Berg) and a wide body with some wheels to keep up and set screens (Johannes is excellent but Kunz is good too).  And linemates to go after rebounds.

(I'm not arguing against a higher profile role for Perron, who shows flashes of genius every week.   I like Perron on a different line from Gaber since he will get more chances to play on the puck, and set up / shoot.)

It’s been a while since having the luxury of being this talent deep!

When I got home from the CC game, I plugged my phone into the tv and watched the replay of the UND game. Was it me, or did it appear that after every time UND scored a goal, the volume went way down as if to prevent the tv viewer from hearing how loud the UND fans were. I wasn’t going to bring this up but since people have been talking about some of the various items regarding the announcers and production, I thought I’d throw it out there. Given St. Cloud’s history with their engaging in petty little shenanigans (remember when their news paper blurred out the Indian head on the player’s Sioux jersey for an article years ago? Or the tv broadcast refusing to show the Sioux logo on the screen?-they went with the interlocking ND instead), it wouldn’t surprise me if they did some manipulation with the sound last night.

Yeah that sort of stuff goes on when we’ve traveled to other places and on the national scale as well. Best traveling fan base, still wearing best logo ever, gets maybe a split second of show on ads or showing our fans on TV broadcasts. Exclusion, envy, both???

So set a facility minimum and teams have to declare what they'll use should they host.

Say it's 5000 seats. UND declares REA; DU declares Mags; all the Connecticut schools (Sacred Heart, Q, UConn, Yale) plus Army and Brown and Providence pick and reserve a venue together. Yes, lots of risk for the arena reserving a weekend that could be nothing.

Use of home sites for the rounds of 16 and 8 solves the "small arena" issue and the last Four get Frozen.

If memory serves correctly, believe venue size has been discussed in the past as I believe 5000 seats was an NCAA deal but with added programs now, the disparity in venue sizes available is large, thus not amenable to large fan bases spending big bucks!

I went over to GPL last night after the game to try to get a sense of the thoughts and feelings of Gopher fans. They were not pleased with Justin Close and think the other goalie should start tonight. Also, they were not happy with all the D zone turnovers they gave up, and rightfully so. CC had so many good opportunities off turnovers by the Gophers. They’re nervous also because they fell to 14th in the Pairwise.

Well, to be fair, Close is near the age of defficating in his crease now & again…

Seriously though, have read the HE & B10 are butt hurt as the conferences will cannibalize one another with their relative schedules when the NCHC has done so since it’s inception, top 5-6 anyway.

Technically challenged question? How does one add NCHC TV to a google tv device? Roku was so easy, my new tv ain’t! I apologize, didn’t know where to ask!

Can you go old school & hard wire with hdmi cord to tv via a surface/pc/tablet/cell or whatever? Been ol’ reliable here.

A long way off yet, but would we guess that #1 would put them in Sioux Falls?

Kind of hoping for MO so I could also check off Gateway Arch Natl Park

St Louis & Philly our least favorite past frozen 4 destinations but for the Gateway & Independence parks! Hoping for SF & Gateway Mall instead for regionals. :glare:
