Funny that nobody raised a stink when Confederate Cooter was blocking traffic, screaming and touching police during the anti-lockdown protests.:whistling:

You people aren't fooling anybody.  Civil disobedience isn’t what bothers you, it’s what these protesters stand for.  You know well that minorities will be the majority in 20+ years and the implications of such will politically and culturally flip this country upside down.  And the white millennial and Gen Z kids growing up in this new environment are completely on-board.  'Snowflake culture' I think you call it?

Of course the right-wing is mobilized now, why wouldn't they be?  But they are an older, monolithic and withering demographic.  Look at a Trump rally for God's sake.  Older and white as a snowstorm with dueling banjos as the soundtrack.

Either way, many places now are lifting curfews. Violence is subsiding and non-violent protests and marches are taking over everywhere.  This is history in the making.

Used to regard your posts as rather thought provoking but this is mean to this older, withering senior citizen. Learned from Oprah years ago, "When somebody shows you who they are, believe them."

  2. Blackheart, you should be on the cover of Time as Man of the year. We have been attending and/or watching Sioux hockey for 40+ years. Since March we have been devoting every Friday night to watching the games you've posted. Still embarrassed by our behavior at the "time out" game with our family (all goof fans). Went down 3-0 and we acted like babies going to the club level bar to drink away our sorrows. Family pissed as we said our boys had been battling the flu......which they had been.

Hated Frank but loved Wooger as his color guy. RIP

Seeing the glimpse of young asst coach Blais celebrate in Providence 1982 was awesome.

Knew the Gasparinis some from Tootsie teaching Health at Central and Gino Golf 1 at UND. Had fun revisiting the memories with Gino at the St Paul Hotel following the 2012 Championship game vs the Daniel Boones'.

    Thanks again for the memories!!!!!!

  4. I am a responsible senior citizen with extreme claustrophobia. The thought of wearing a mask is troubling but I gave it a try entering the grocery store. Couldn't do it especially after my glasses fogged up making matters worse.  Now I go get groceries during low traffic hours without a mask.

  5. Feeling fortunate that my grandson has continued to attend preschool with all his friends and his parents continue to work (1 @ home) in the FM area. There have been no issues with staff or families served at the preschool/daycare this whole time other than the occasional typical sick days. Knock on wood, hope this wasn't a KOD, but still, the staff and families there are so far not buying in to all the hype.

If you are wondering what I am getting at, it is that if you have nothing to bitch about you don't say anything. The ultimate definition of a douchbag.

Ummm, no, the ultimate definition and spelling is.....!@#!$! and its variants are pejorative terms referring to an arrogant, obnoxious, or despicable person.  LOL

Question for those of you who got Wildhorse Saloon tickets... Is that a mobile thing too? Or in the off chance of a resale opportunity should I be looking on Ticketmaster or here?

The 2000 tix to the Wildhorse Saloon on Friday night are sold out. UND booked the entire venue as I understand. The free Saturday pre-game party will be nuts.

Comparable Marriott properties on the West End are out there for half that.  Airport and Opryland will also do in a pinch for sensible rates.

    Trying to do the math

if the hotel is $400 a night times 4 equals $1600

plane of $500. Times 2 is $1000  Plus the hotel of $1600 is $2600 divided by two is$1300 a person

    does this make sense

Hotel is $190/night, Charter flight is $700, in my experiences, a bargain for the hassle free efficiency and convenience.

  9. The push is definitely on with the NCHC fan bases and college hockey junkie attendees in general. Apparently sales are down and game tix and hotel rooms in MSP will be plentiful come March. The League is going to be so screwed if (perish the thought) the good guys in green stay away.

  10. Have stayed at The Loews, Radisson Blu and Marriot City Center. It is not likely we will return unless the FF moves back to St Paul, but if we were, we probably would choose the Marriot to get the best deal within walking distance. They each have their perks and/or negatives.

  11. After 10 years, we too did not renew our 6 seats. Went to the WCHA FF's and then the Frozen Faceoffs to watch quality college hockey. The Target Center is not 'quality hockey friendly.' Teams likely already in the NCAA Tourney according to pairwise also do not appear to put forth their best effort. Due to parity, seeding is not that big of deal in a one and done and they want to go in healthy. Last year the highlights of our trip were Hell's Kitchen, FireLake Grill and The Shouthouse, not watching hockey. Make reservations ahead of time! The Pourhouse is fun but packed pre-games so arrive early.
