Most is a little far, but decisions do get made early and certain players will get more opportunity than others. Obviously these are different coaches, but I saw this up close back in the day so I know it happens.

Britta is definitely an outlier. You get better by playing better competition. ND has good players but the range of ability varies greatly.
We live outside of Atlanta and my daughter play for the tier 1 Boys Jr Preds out of Nashville for years. When we looked to transition her to girls hockey we didn't have a lot of options. We have family in Bismarck so my wife and daughter moved in order to play high school hockey. We quickly realized the level of play and getting recruited out of ND would be a challenge. She is now boarding at a hockey academy outside of Boston. Recruiting visibility and competition is great where she is now.

I haven't been to the site in a while and quickly reading through this thread I remember why. We have a few absolute tools as fans.
UND can win the game but will need to play a really clean game to have a chance. I only watched the Jacks first game of the season, but they didn't seem to be as good up front as they typically are.

He has done a good job this year. You haven’t got a clue and frankly some of our “olden times” teams were pretty good.
This is partly why I stay off the message board for the most part now. For many it is a knee jerk fire the coach when they don't have any idea what is going on behind what we are allowed to see. A few posters tend to have a pretty realistic grasp on what is going on with the program but most seem pretty clueless and are shooting off at the mouth or in this case keyboard.

5 guys to block 6 or 7 in short yardage will never work! That isn't saying they are good but the scheme is flawed from what I saw today. This offense doesn't fit JJ at all!

I find the doom and gloom funny after a bad loss to a very good team. NDSU has better personnel then many FBS schools! I don't want to downplay the loss too much but if anyone thought we had a real chance today was fooling themselves. NDSU has better players at almost every position right now. My take is probably off of most on the message board but UND can be a very good football team this season if some things get corrected. We are very erratic on defense, most of the big run plays were directly related to guys not playing consistent gap control defense. This is a very fixable issue! On offense, we had a fairly large number of plays in which the timing was off by a lot. Also a very fixable issue! I think we will see improvement going forward!

Very sad. As a player and as a coach he single handedly put Bismarck hockey on the map.
I think he is probably doing the right thing, most school administrator's will just give the loudest parents anything they want for them to go away. This isn't just coaching but often in the classroom as well.

I am certainly not a QB expert but the Graetz kid looked like he had a lot of tools but would need to develop. I think the Schuster kid looks more polished but with a little less to work with from a physical skills standpoint. I like the addition and my gut tells me he will be a player for UND.

He got offered by a FBS school, most kids will jump at that opportunity and UND likely could have done nothing to stop it.
