  1. It comes down to QB play, clearly Ketteringham is not the guy for the job. Bubba and staff inability to recruit and develop a QB is embarrassing.

  2. I don’t understand why most of you are against a mascot? Every MAJOR school out there has one, heck the school to the south has a mascot that is pretty recognizable. When the Bleacher Creature came out did people expect it to be a Cartoon Sioux Indian with a head dress instead?Cause that what have went over well.

There is a lot more positives than negatives if we in fact incorporate a “Hawk” mascot. The kids will love it! And once we start playing our natural rivals having a mascot pump up the crowd will go a long ways, cause clearly the cheerleaders or dance team can’t. Hell over the past few years the students athletes from other sports cheering on other teams have been the only energy from the stands.

  3. I don't know if anyone has brought this up yet but  do any of you think that SIU goes after Bubba? He has ties to the school and is doing a great job here.

  4. Everyone needs to relax. No one's scholarship is going to get cut/reduced until after spring ball, which is months away. The off season just started for gods sake.

  5. So, the other universities that have "bird" nicknames are childish and/or have immature fan bases?

UND is no more privileged than:

    Air Force Falcons

    Ball State Cardinals

    Boston College Eagles

    Bowling Green Falcons

    Eastern Michigan Eagles

    Florida Atlantic Owls

    Georgia Southern Eagles

    Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks

    Louisville Cardinals

    Miami (OH) Redhawks

    Oregon Ducks

    Rick Owls

    South Carolina Gamecocks

    Southern Miss Golden Eagles

    Temple Owls

Yes, there are a lot of "bird-related" nicknames, but most of the schools have identifiable logos and, most importantly, do just fine with their athletics. UND can do just fine with marketing and promotions as the Fighting Hawks. Furthermore, UND can be successful on the field, ice, and court as the Fighting Hawks.

    This guy gets it.

  6. I'm so proud of the boys today. We needed this win. We finally got over a big hump with beating Montana State. I'm looking forward to watching us play these guys here on out. I feel a big rivalry starting!! Go Sioux!

  7. Need to get more Muss's players out and more Bubba's players in.

Yeah, Bubba recruits so far have been dominating! All these transfers he has brought have been game changers. GTFOH.

  8. In the above video I noticed multiple times where out fast FR rbs missed holes for good gains and ran into the bodies.

I noticed on the one play Smith cut it back on counter, he has to know that the cut back is not an option.  You read frontside A, B, or you bounce it. There is no one blocking for you backside.

  9. Yes the comparisons need to stop. To label a player a Mussman recruit/Bubba recruit is just ignorant. They are all UND football players just like their brothers before them.

  10. I enjoy UND being in a football conference instead of being an independent, which was UND's options when the Big Sky came calling.  If a spot ever opens up in the MVFC and the Summit I think UND should pursue it.  I don't see that happening as long as the eastern half of the MVFC is opposed to it, so until Youngstown leaves or Indiana State or UNI finally pulls the plug on their football programs I don't see it happening. In the meantime, I feel UND can become a nationally competitive team in the Big Sky, but unfortunately is probably 4-5 years away due to some incredibly short-sighted and stupid decisions within the athletic department.

I could be wrong but didn't our athletic director or president get caught lying about not getting invited into either the MVFC or Summit League?

  11. Not fcs, but golladay is putting on a show on cbssports. 9 catches for about 220

The Kid is special, going to the NFL for sure. Mostly thanks to Coach Baukol and his strength staff during his only winter here.
