Because it would probably REALLY piss off the people that wanted us to get rid of the Sioux name.  They didn't want the us to have the name but somehow it would probably be considered disrespectful to melt it down and it would piss them off.

You have a twisted mind. I like it.

They should melt it into a new trophy so at least its the same material.  Boy that would piss people off!  But it would at least make the new trophy more meaningful.

Surely you jest! The Nickel is iconic and politically incorrect. Why would you destroy it?

Isn’t it great that we don’t have to worry about a game today?

Nothing personal but you should be chained to a grumpy badger wearing a Sioux jersey, then made to run barefoot through the entire Bison tailgate mob.

  4. I can’t take it anymore.

Two days ago I said I was done. I retired all my UND/Sioux gear to the top corner shelf of a nondescript closet. I made plans to peel  the stickers off my vehicles and the signs off my garage

BUT DAMN. I am pumped for next year. I’m seeing this through to the bitter end.

2019 season the team needs added weight on the defensive line. A lot of talent but they need size. Look what Mason Bennett has done. Unbelievable.

Running back: James can’t do It alone. Need two more. Austin Gordon can cover one of these spots if another Brady/John can’t be had.

These are the two biggest issues in my opinion.

Take care of these two issues then start on the rest

    GO SIOUX

  5. Not singling any one or one position out but this was probably the most repulsive game I’ve ever attended.

The bright spot was special teams.

It’s been a good 3+ years but I no longer have a dog in the fight so I’m drifting to the sidelines.

Teeder, Geaux-Sioux, wish you would of taken me up on that beer offer. Would of loved to of met you two.

I’ll check in from time to time to see what the rest of you IBF’s, (ignorant butt faces) are up to. Your a blast, especially after a 1/2 pint and a 40 ounce malt liquor.

NAU is horrible right now. Multiple injuries across the board. On their 4th string quarterback (wide receiver running the wildcat) at the moment with top two qb's injured and third string freshman simply not ready. A once promising season lay in waste.

Section 208 and 210 are usually where opposing teams are given seats. Most seats in the dome are decent. UND's dome seats 2,000+ more people.

This game won't sell out. Even when NAU is competitive, student/community support dips once the holidays/finals start creeping up. I drove up for two games earlier in the season but I'm sitting this last train wreck of the season out.

The brewery scene in Flagstaff is solid, UND'ers. My favorite are: Dark Sky Brewing, Mother Road Brewing, Historic Brewing. Flagstaff Brewing Co, Beaver Street Brewing and Lumberyard are the originals and all have their merits. I haven't tried Wanderlust Brewing Co. or Trail Crest Brewing Co. yet.

My mom went to UND for one year. My uncle graduated from there. I lived in Fargo for about a year and spent my summers there all through grade school up to high school. Mom's grew up in Oakes and I have relatives there, Valley City, Jamestown, Ellendale, Wahpeton and Williston. I miss my North Dakota friends and relatives. Sad UND is leaving the Big Sky but it makes more sense for you guys to play NDSU, USD, SDSU, etc.

    -- Cheers.

Thanks for the information and sorry about the injuries. We feel your pain.

I will be there.   Going to PHX to visit my dad and taking him up to the game.

Three of us from here, one from California, and two Flagstaff transplants should be there

  8. This is now the most important game ever. It’s time to play football.

The outcome will not determine world order nor celestial alignment.

It will simply determine if the team lives for another week.

That is what it’s about. Win and we ratchet up another level. Lose and we look towards next year.

Nobody on this board has any control over this. We are simply your humble fans hoping for the best results.
