Brandt played well in the 3 games against DU in the playoffs last year. However, I don't recall him being left out to dry so often as in the first two periods of the game tonight. Brandt made 3 saves on breakaways (including a behind the back, blind, glove hand save) to keep the game tied with SCSU tonight. Every one of those saves was at a critical point in the game, especially since SCSU was outplaying the Sioux at those points, and the result of the game could have certainly been different. I'm just saying that it's the first time in 2 1/2 years that I have seen a goalie win a game for the Sioux. My point is that Brandt played really well tonight - I was impressed and am really optimistic about the rest of the season.

This is the first time I have seen a Sioux goalie win a game for the team in quite a few years ...extraordinarily encouraging to me...

It might be too late - Pat Sweeney was using "The Brady Bunch" during the game tonight...

Per an e-mail I just got, the Sioux vs. BC game will be on at the Sensors in Bloomington tonight. See you there!

FYI - Per the DJ/TV guy at Sensors in Bloomington, they will have the Sioux hockey game on Friday night at the Eagan and Roseville locations. It will not be on at Bloomington (he didn't say why). I called to confirm this with the manager in Eagan and he said the game would be available there. Didn't check with Roseville, so you might want to call them if you plan to head over there.

As you may have heard, Joe Sensors (in Bloomington) is no longer able to broadcast Sioux home hockey games. As a U of M alum and recovering Gopher fan (I married a die-hard Sioux fan and have been dedicated to my step-team for quite a few years now), I am very disappointed in this turn of events. I have a friend who runs the TVs at Sensors, and here is the story. The Ralph has decided to switch from an analog signal to a digital signal to broadcast the games to local (Grand Forks) TV, apparently as a cost saving measure. Unfortunately, no one (anywhere) has the equipment to pick up this signal. He is looking into getting the management at Sensors to buy the equipment needed. We hope that if they are reminded about how much money the Sioux fans bring in every weekend when watching the games, they will buy into the idea of getting the new equipment. Give them a call and let the manager know

We usually go to Joe Sensor's in Bloomington, but the group of Sioux fans we usually see tend to be there only on Friday nights. Maybe Sensor's in Roseville?

I'm actually going to Steamboat for the weekend and was assuming that the games would be on a satellite for transmission up to ND. If that is true and if someone could provide me with the satellite coordinates that knowledge would probably increase my odds of talking someone into putting the games on a TV at a bar. THanks again
