Even now the Pairwise sucks. We could be better off in the Pairwaise if we lost to Mankato this weekend and kept them as a TUC. If we sweep Mankato they probably drop out as a TUC and our Pairwise rating drops. Now that is plain stupid!

Maybe but thats not fighting Sioux hockey. The Sioux will give it their all on every shift or they will sit. What does suck is that UND if far better off going 2-1 this weekend than 2-0, but I expect they will be 2-0.

seriously... that's brilliant, then we don't have to worry about players getting injured! Wanna make sure they stay healthy for the NHL. Also, then we only have to travel for one game, and our weekends will be freed even more to discuss polls and such. Great idea poo!

As much as i hate to say it, Minnesota DID earn jumping 1 spots THIS week, at least. hear me out:

UNH, who was #3 was swept by BC, who was #9. as a result, UNH moved back to #4 and BC moved up 2 spots to #7;

SCSU, who was #2, only got 1 point from us (#8), and as a result, they moved from back to #3 earning 1 more point that UNH, so staying ahead of them. as a result, SCSU went down to #3 and we went UP to #6;

UMtc, who was #4, went 1-1 vs. MTU, who was #18. so they got 1 more point than did SCSU. as a result, UMTC went up to #2 and MTU stayed at #18.

so, as far as team performance on the weekend is concerned, UMtc did do better than the 2 teams ahead of them, UNH and SCSU. HOWEVER!!!!!----------> THEY DID LOSE TO A TEAM THAT WAS RANKED 14 PLACES BEHIND THEM. therefore, maybe SCSU should have stayed #2 and UMtc and UNH changed places.

all in all, maybe polls are biased, maybe not. but who really cares? no one. why? because only league rankings matter when it comes to playoff spots, etc, and only who wins in the end matters after that.
