Penrod
From the MN Wild website: In an effort to raise much needed funds for kids suffering from cancer, rookie D Travis Roche will be donating $100 for every goal he scores this season and $50 for every assist to the Kids Unlimited Foundation. With 11 goals and 12 assists already this season, Roche has already earned $1700 for Kids Unlimited, which is a volunteer organization specializing in helping children with cancer and their families deal with this dreadful disease. forecheck
Wow, that's really special! I wouldn't have thought that first year professional athletes donate to charities very often, but I'm pleasantly surprised. Way to go Travis! dagies
An interesting article on Roche if you follow the link to him http://www.hockeysfuture.com/team.php?team=
forecheck
That was a pretty complimentary profile. They made it sound like Roche was expected to crack the lineup this season and make an impact. Hopefully that means we'll be watching him next season!
