jloos
Albany Press Release: The Albany River Rats are expected to sign Zach Parise's brother, Jordan Parise, before next Wednesdays game against Bridgeport. Parise, a sophomore goaltender at the University of North Dakota has been a main reason the Sioux made it the Frozen Four (college hockey's version of the Final Four) this season. Parise will have to give up playing in the Frozen Four, but he is reportedly more excited about being reunited with his brother. The River Rats have been looking for a goalie to replace Scott Clemmenson, who suddenly left the team this week. Vice President Jonathan Scherzer said, "Jordan Parise will be expected to make an immediate impact, our goal is to make playoffs, and we feel Jordan can help us reach that goal." The River Rats currently sit eight points out of the final playoff spot, with only 13 games remaining. Side note - Scott Clemenson has reportedly moved to the Netherlands with long time lover, and former Boston College teammate Brian Gionta. The two are planning on getting married and playing pro hockey in Europe.

PCM
This might be more effective if the River Rats weren't already done for the season.
jloos
This might be more effective if the River Rats weren't already done for the season. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Give me some credit - they are technically out of the playoffs already - but they have games scheduled until April 17th. Last year people actually believed my fake press release - I guess two years in a row was too much to ask. Although the last part should be dead give away - then again who knows with those BC players.
