dagies Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 Even some of his own troops think he's overly obsessive about PC issues: St. Cloud Time Article Saigo doesn't have the right focus, English professor Jack Hibbard said. "I don't think he's paid attention to any issues other than the politically correct ones," he said. "I presume there's racism here, but ... I really don't think there's racism under every bed or hiding in every closet." Saigo should be paying more attention to the university's financial woes, Hibbard said. Quote
jloos Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 St. Cloud State works closely with many two-year colleges, including St. Cloud Technical College and Anoka Ramsey Community College. I thought SCSU was a two-year college. UND has Native American studies because of the large Native population in the area, same goes with Scandanavian studies. Why does SCSU need a Jewish studies program? I've never lived in St. Cloud but I find it hard to believe they have a large Jewish population. Glad to see they're focusing on important issues such as making every minority group happy rather than balancing their budget. No wonder MN has such high taxes yet always seems to be in a deficit.
